We recently had a house built in ** by Smith Douglas Homes. We reviewed SDH before beginning the process. Reviews seemed good and trustworthy. Our daughter and SIL already had a house built by SDH. Their home seems well-built and solid. We trusted in SDH and the process. The seller rep ******* was knowledgeable and helped us pick out what we think is a beautiful second home for us. We wanted to upgrade some things before signing that everything on the plan was correct. ***** told us no. Now that we are in the home, ***** has gone silent with email questions. Typical of a seller. The construction manager, ******, is CLUELESS about construction and does not pay attention to workmanship or detail, as she allows S*** work to pass (like a lot of stain on the vinyl floors - we have pictures for proof), island countertop not centered, quarter round pieces not flush together or even have enough stain on them to match the cabinets, non-matching vinyl plank in a closet, some damaged floor planks, kitchen cabinet door has damaged area that never got replaced when ****** said it would, a pipe in the master bath that was placed in the foundation OUTSIDE of the wall that originally had like a birdhouse built around it (under the cutout area by the sink) WHO LETS THAT GO ON A NEW BUILD-A BIG INVESTMENT FOR PEOPLE??!! They added two or three layers of drywall on the wall in that area to cover up the construction error, front of the house triangle vented area had one piece spliced together, NOT flush, concrete on the back patio, front porch, garage, and ALL OVER THE DRIVEWAY is broke and or cracked! They put a bandaid on the patio and the garage, left the porch alone, and told us concrete cracks; "we told you." NOTHING DONE ABOUT IT! It is now our problem! ***** was supposed to be our construction manager but ****** was later assigned. Her inexperience left us with s*** work, bandaids, and huge concrete problems! Ask questions, they get mad and BLOW SMOKE! They just want a sell!

We love our new home. I love the layout, everything about it.

SDH did an outstanding job on building the house. They were right on time with the build plan, and the house turned out great. They are very professional. The quality of the build was good. The options were good. Everyone at the local level did a great job. Very happy.

It's been a week since closing and we LOVE our new home. It is beautiful. Everything from the beginning to end was explained and handled professionally. I have watched every phase of the building process. I am so thankful for everyone involved. *** and ***** were just awesome!!! There were so many in the background that we did not meet but are equally as thankful for. ******************************* at flex realty was our Realtor and she and *** helped us pick a plan that worked for our family. ***** brought it to reality.

We had a wonderful experience purchasing my first home through SmithDouglas. The construction and sales team were wonderful at answering any questions and concerns I had up front. They went above and beyond to meet the requests we had before closing. We are so pleased with our home and the process to purchase it!

Jury is still out on my place so I was looking to see what others experienced. I notice the reviews here are much higher that on other sites, and they are much lower than when I decided to buy. I will be discussing some problems with my builder, if I ever see him. I have not in fact ever laid eyes on him since signing the contract and I have been to the job site almost daily. So in preparing for the worst I am studying the reviews of others. I am interested to learn the reason for the discrepancy in the ratings.

We love our home. Very professional employees and worked very had to stay on time and to meet our needs. We recommend Smith Douglas Homes. Very affordable, excellent homes. Satisfied with the work *******. Beautiful homes. I definitely recommend Smith Douglas homes. Cant go wrong with Smith Douglas Homes. My realtor was awesome and extremely helpful.
