I rented a storage unit from Midgrad Storage in ****************. I gave the 30 day notice in April 2024 with a notice to vacate 31 May 2024. I followed the vacate steps, emptied unit, swept it and left it closed and unlocked. I found out 1 August that I have been getting charged for the same storage unit. When I tried to get it canceled and refunded, they notified me for the first time that it had a lock on it. I informed them that it is not our lock, we gave notice and had a signed notice to vacate. They gave me the run around and charged me again for August. I am now getting charged with no refund or plans of resolve. I have been calling for about 3 weeks. Each time a representative says they are taking down the information and a manager will be in contact which never happens. I don't believe they are taking down the information because with every call, they keep telling me there's a lock on there and I have to keep re-explaining the situation. I even asked them to check their security footage for proof.I moved to ***** the day we vacated the unit which was 24 May. I am not physically in the state. The only sure answer they have given me is that the charges can't stop if the lock is still on there. The lock is not ours. They have our emails and notices. They are unhelpful in addressing the issue. Someone has taken a vacant unit in what is supposed to be a secure storage facility, and they are not at all concerned in this blatant breach pf security.I need help in stopping these monthly charges and in getting a refund.Business response
