    According to information in BBB files, Redwood Personal Training, Inc. has a pattern of complaint alleging Contract Issues and Refund or Exchange Issues. 

     

    Specifically, consumers state they signed a contract with Redwood Personal Training, Inc. for gym membership under the impression that they can cancel at anytime. However, when consumers try to cancel their contract, they are told they cannot cancel without having to paying a hefty cancellation/termination fee. Other consumers allege they gave a notice of cancellation, but Redwood Personal Training, Inc. states they never received it. 

     

    On December 11, 2023, BBB sent correspondence to Redwood Personal Training, Inc. to request their voluntary cooperation in resolving the unanswered complaints as well as their cooperation in eliminating the pattern of complaint.

     

    On January 22, 2024, Redwood Personal Training, Inc. responded with the following information as a means to eliminate the pattern:

    We have detailed the very specific information that is provided in signed agreements, and the purpose of a signed agreement is to ensure that the parties are both clearly aware of this information. This aspect of the Business Profile will be updated once additional information becomes available. 

    Accreditation Revocation:
    On 02/07/2024 this business's accreditation in the BBB was revoked by the BBB's Board of Directors due to failure by the business to adhere to the BBB requirement that Accredited Businesses meet and abide by the following standards:

    6. Address disputes forwarded by BBB quickly and in good faith.

    6A. Provide a response to each complaint that:
    • Is professional,
    • addresses all significant issues raised by the complainant,

    I canceled the contract due to personal reason and canceled my card they had on file gave them the 30 day notice beginning of March Cauce I didn't pay the early contract termination fee yet . the early termination fee is $475 they are still trying to charge me monthly ive tried paying it but they refuse to accept a check and that's the one payment they are going to get from me its i told them on the phone there not going to get a debit car ,credit card or my backing info . give me a bill and ill pay just the early termination fee by check and the woman hung up on me any help resolving this issue would be great thank you

    At the ******, OR branch- Trainers are incredible. Admin, atrocious. Filled out their cancellation form for my month-to-month membership two times. I was told that all cancellations had to be done via their form (not in-person, not over the phone, etc, the form only). Upon completion the form displays a message that someone from Redwood will reach out to you. I coordinated with my trainer, and he assured me that the form was the way to go and I should be alright. Well here I am months later, they attempted to charge me an additional two times (and got away with it), then sent me to COLLECTIONS without notice for $55. Absolute insanity and horrible business practices.
