Using **** I reserved a vacation rental at ******** ***** ** (hosted by ***** *******) on Nov 11/21 for a reservation from Feb 9-Feb 16/22. Shortly after I made our reservation, we learned of the new variant (Omicron). With the changes and implementation of new travel rules/restrictions daily, we decided we didn't want to take the risk and decided to cancel our trip. I proceeded to cancel my reservation through the **** portal. I made an original deposit amount of $980.15 USD paid to ***** ******* as well as a **** service fee $345.00 USD for a total of $1325.15 USD. The cancellation policy on the **** website for this unit stated I can cancel for a 90% refund (minus the service fee) until December 25/21. ***** has decided to only refund me $653.44 USD. When I asked ***** why I didn't receive 90% back (minus the service fee) from the original payment of $980.15 USD as stated in the cancellation policy on the **** listing, they advised me the following (1. see attached). The agent at ***** linked me to a different cancellation policy at ********* which has a differently worded cancellation policy to the one that I seen on the **** website where I had made my reservation. The following is the cancellation policy found on this other site (2. see attached). Once again the **** site where I reserved only states cancel for a 90% refund (minus the service fee) until Dec 25/21. There is NO reference to using the words “GRAND TOTAL” to calculate the refund. I find this to be deceiving to refer to a totally different cancellation policy on a totally different website. I booked on **** and this is not the cancellation policy and there is no link to be found on **** connecting to the above cancellation policy. This is very deceptive, so due to the stress and time I have had to waste in pursuing this claim, I am seeking a 100% refund of my original deposit of $980.15 USD plus the service fee $345 USD for total of $1325.15 USD . The tracking # to ***** ******* is ******.

Greetings, I paid the balance of a vacation rental in full with Elite Pacific Properties for Waikoloa Colony Villa, unit #403 on July 18, 2021 for a total amount of $5,255,53 for a reservation from Sept. 1-30, 2021. However, on August 23, 2021, the Governor of Hawaii, the Director of Hawaii Tourism Authority and the Director of the Hawaii Public Health Department requested tourists to postpone travel to Hawaii until after the end of October, 2021, due to exponential increase in the Covid virus. Based on this, our age, and best available data, we cancelled our trip to Hawaii for September 2021. I have requested that Elite Pacific grant credit for future booking. Elite Pacific stated that they cannot offer a credit or a refund. Instead, they refunded $386.87 for cleaning and service fees with an offer to credit any rebooking from other guests in September. I have rejected this solution and seek credit or voucher for $4867.67. The tracking number with Elite Pacific is #******.
