I entered in a lease for an apartment rental in March 2022. There were many issues with the apartment that were never addressed despite numerous emails, calls and face to face conversations. The most important happened towards the end of the lease when the washing machine broke due to being very old and after numerous attempts to get them to fix it. It ruined an expensive duvet cover, as well which I was told would be reimbursed. It was never reimbursed. I had been in a car accident and hurt my neck and was not able to go to the laundromat and this was very problematic. This was the end of the lease February 23 and we paid the rent for that last month March 23, had the apartment cleaned and moved out before the end of the month due to the inconvenience. The washing machine was promised by March 8 but was not even there by that date. The apartment was checked by a representative with no issues We were due security minus electric that was due. The representative ******* had advised that ****** had mailed the check already. It was never received. I have proof of promise of check being mailed already. I have tried to contact the company who has been ignoring and avoiding my calls and bouncing back emails. This is a very disreputable company.

The tenants moved into the apartment in March 2022.   There is an inventory and condition form that both the tenants and our office signed. During their stay, there have been issues that arose, all that had been responded immediately.  There is a trail of emails for each incident.  The building was built in 1981.  Issues do arise as the building is a bit older.  They had issues with their air conditioner, electric bill, kitchen leaks, tub and finally the washer and dryer.  All issues were addressed when brought to our attention.   In the property condition form, it was noted that the washer and dryer was older, with "wear and tear".   When the washing machine broker down, we called our appliance insurance company and worked with them to get the issue resolved.   The 3rd parties made promises to fix the w/d but found that it needed to be replaced.  Unfortunately, the wait time for a new w/d to be installed has been taking much longer than anyone anticipated.

In regards to the security deposit, the tenants deposit refund was sent to the tenant's forwarding address, however never received, the tenants claim.  A second check was sent on March 29th, this time with a tracking number (70192970000066892572).  The check has still not been delivered to date but is in transition.  There are currently two checks sent to the tenant, hoping either get to them sooner than later.

There has been no ignoring of the tenant whatsoever.  And with the unit, as noted, in an older building, problems arise.  Frustration occurs.   Our office is in the lobby of the building, and all emails that were sent to our office have been responded to and addressed in a timely manner.   Again, there is email trail and text trails to prove this.  It can be frustrating being a tenant and having problems arise.  Especially the breaking down of a washer and dryer in mid cycle.  But as the property manager for the owner, we have procedures we need to follow, which is normally to go through our insurance company to have these matters resolved.  We followed our procedures, but like the tenant as well, did not like the slow process time of getting a new washer and dryer installed.  To this day, we are still waiting for the appliance to come in.
