Additional Information for Tresor Rare of Maui

BBB identified that this company has a pattern in complaints concerning merchandise return/refund issues. Consumers allege that this company's return policy was not communicated correctly or disclosed at all by the company’s sales staff. Particularly when the purchased merchandise is arranged to be shipped, consumers are not made aware that the items cannot be returned for a refund.

On June 8, 2018, in response to BBB’s inquiry regarding the identified pattern, this company indicated that they have a return policy below that is clearly displayed at the register counter, on every receipt, on the credit card slip where the customer signs, and on the shipping from where the customer put his address if he/she want the company to ship their purchase:

“Refund & Exchange Only For Items Picked Up In-Store Returned Unopened Within 3 Days Of Purchase. No Refund Or Exchange On Open Items.

No Refund Or Exchange On Items Purchased For Shipment.

No Refund on Installment Plans.

No Refund on Final Sales and Reduced Priced Items.

No Guarantee of Results.”

On June 15, 2018, the company further clarified how they are currently ensuring that their customers are made aware of the referenced policy. They stated that their customers always sign a paper instead of digital receipt, while shipping form is completed digitally. They indicated that both their receipt and shipping form have signature lines for their customers to acknowledge their return policy. The company also shared that they will place a return policy disclosure sign at every demonstration station in the store to hopefully eliminate this issue completely.
