    I have been a customer of ***********************, ********************** for approximately 7 to 8 years. He maintained and installed A new water system at my bed and breakfast in **********************. When my house was taken by the Lava and I purchased a new house in ********************** in 2018, ***** again installed a complete pump, filter and water system for our new house. He Is an odd personality, however he works thoroughly and reliably. Even in the past His service was always more pricey than other market competitors, however I did not mind, because I relied on his expertise, knowledge and experience. He comes once per year to change my filters and UV lamp. He orders the parts and provides the maintenance service. Last year when he did this for me he charged $440, which included a service fee of $100. This year he provided the same exact services and charged $827, including a $250 service fee. Due to my mistake of not checking prior to him providing the services, I felt obligated to pay after he completed the job. It took him less than 30 minutes. When I realized how much she was charging and I entered into a discussion with him, he became defensive and expressed that I apparently did not appreciate his service and level of skills. I asked him how he can justify this increase of almost doubling the charge? He stated that he felt it was worth it and that some of his cost went up. Also that hes providing paper towels to clean after and spending time to order. He also mentioned that his truck was in the shop for repair and that the cost for the truck repair was very high and he needed to recoup that cost. There were several other no-sense making justifications. I told him that this cost was unacceptable for me. In the meantime I have contacted him to find out the exact specifications of the replacement filters and UV light, so I would be able to order these parts myself in the future to eliminate the markup. While I did this research, I found all replacement parts on Amazon and realized that most of them were marked up between 100 - 300%. He has neither returned my calls nor my emails. In the meantime I have also looked up his business with the **** and there is no record of his LLC. The physical address that the Better Business Bureau lists for this business is also no longer valid. He gave me some explanations of him having to pay enormous taxes. The way he was describing this indicated to me that he was not paying GE taxes or had any idea of accounting systems and write-offs. I have a suspicion, that he does not pay taxes on his income. His invoices also do not separate out a GE tax. Overall I feel that he is charging an inappropriately high amount. If you could please check into it like the legality of this business and his business practices, that would be appreciated!
