Maaco took responsibility for damaging my car on 3/23/22. Told me to bring it in 3/28/22 for repairs. Today is the 28th and i went to see them. They told me they are refusing to repair the damages they caused due to a bad *********** review. ***** the receptionist tried to black mail me into changing the review in order to have my car repaired. Ive now had to file an insurance claim against the shop just to have the damages they caused repaired.Business response

We were not responsible for his damage but we were willing to help this customer. He then posted a review on Yelp that he would never bring his car back to Maaco. Strangely he then showed up and demanded we help him. We reserve the right as to whom we will help. We will not help this customer any further.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: They definitely caused the damages i have photo proof. My cars only issue upon drop off was the peeling clear coat which was covered by warranty (they tried to claim afterward that my $2500 repair didnt come with a warranty when it clearly says it does) They told me themselves the clear coat and paint wasnt sticking due to improper prep work. Only people to do any prep work on my car was maaco. I even realized they stole from me after 2 days of having the car back. This business is full of dishonest, lazy, thieves. They will do anything to avoid responsibility.

This paper states i have a 1-2 year warranty, plus a limited lifetime warranty for trim removal which they did.Customer response

I never received any information about the warranty on paper. Just what they told me was covered under the warranty which was paint defects, peeling or bubbling (clear coat included). The package i paid for included a 5 year warranty. Their estimator ***** also told me before i brought it in after looking my info up that it was covered under warranty.
