      Type of Business: Beauty Spa tattoo permanent makeup studio with independent contractors Filing complaint on Both the Establishment and the independent contract ( ******* ) I Do not have her last name she is the only person named ******* there Date of Appointment: Thursday, Oct. 28,2021 time: 11:00am- 12:50pm HST Procedure: ***FT Ink removal (Brow Ink Removal)Booked through online booking site linked and provided by this business called Vai Beauty Maui which requires a credit card to book the appointment Charged amount: $52.83 I called this company to let them know that i had a car emergency no answer so I texted the message at 10:33am and texted that i may need 30 more minutes to get to there place of business.They acknowledged with a text response saying ok and confirmed with me if it was Krsytle i had the appointment with. After which i continued to let them know my time to reach there business 20mins out and 5 minutes prior and called them as well. No response, no answer to text, and no one picking up my phone call. Completely on responsive.Finally, when I arrived ******* was there at the front desk; she stated she marked me as a no show since it had been more than 15 minutes from the original time of the scheduled appointment and that I have been charged the deposit amount and will not be reimbursed.I told her i reached out she said I didnt call her; though she did not nor the company give her number anywhere on the cards they have.She stated that there is a 72hr prior cancellation policy though i recently saw there is a 24 hour one only anywhere and She would not make any concession or consideration for my emergency and would not acknowledge my communication. Though I had received a text from the business stating ok and confirming it was with ******* ************.IN short it was a very bad experience and unpleasant hostile communication from this technician she chased me out of the shop and refused to hear me out.

      Aloha from Lyric owner of Ink & Beauty studio. I ask that you kindly file your complaint to the correct business as the artist discussed (******* Of Vai beauty maui) isn an independent business and just rents in our studio. We have no affiliation of the way she runs her business.

      I am rejecting this response because:
      The person who answered the response of okay was the front desk person representing ink and beauty using the cell phone of this owner Lyric!

      Further, independent contractor or not you are representing services provided through these contractors under your business and have them using the online Vai reservation booking system utilized by your business to bring in and advertise your business for a profit.

      Denying this and claiming no affiliation to the contractor representing you and working in the business location with your name on the front door and including them as a representative of your business model on all social media  platforms to bring in and procure business for your business entity is a gross misrepresentation of what your company is!

      Lastly, you need to provide the full name and contact of this person and where and to what in it's exact and accuracy to file another complaint!

      Please stand up to ethical and good practice model to the community you serve!

      We understand that you were dissatisfied with what happened at the studio. Circling back to what happened is yes, you did message my personal work phone although Vai has her own contact information provided and available to all clients. You did let us know what youd be late but being late PAST your grace ****** is a cause for rescheduling because the said artist does not have enough time to complete your session. 

      We have multiple witnesses of this day stating Vai was very nice and clear of how she handled the situation with you and unfortunately I was busy in an appointment and wasnt able to see it for myself. 

      As independent contractors they are 100% allowed to have their own contracts and appointment rules. You were 5 minutes late after your grace ****** and with your original scheduled appointment with me you were late to that as well. We have talked to Vai and advised her of the manner and how negative this is affecting my business though she was not in the wrong. 

      We advised her that itd be in her best interest to just refund you for your deposit although it is stated that it is nonrefundable. 

      Next time you decide to drag a business through this please consider where your actions could have improvised as well.
