I booked a hotel room for 3 nights in March using Expedia. March 2nd-March 5th. I used my credit card to pay for the trip onsite at the hotel. When I got my statement the following month I was charged for an additional amount of $1,121.12. When I disputed it with my credit card company they stated that I had received "goods or services". I called the hotel and found that I had been charged an extra week stay from March 5 - March 12.I've called the hotel several times to reverse this charge and they keep making excuses as to why they are unable to refund the amount. First they said Expedia would need to refund my charges. However since I paid onsite with my card, Expedia said that the Hotel will have to refund the charges. Expedia reached out to the hotel and got confirmation that a refund would be given. When I contacted the Hotel they said they would give me a refund and they have not. I've called and stopped in person several times over the last months and they still will not refund.I have documentation from the hotel showing I did not sign or authorize an extended stay. As well as documentation from the chat with Expedia showing the hotel agreed to the refund.
