We Hired RIC to fix our floors that were damaged and covered by insurance after the derecho of 2020. We paid the initial charge of $4,000 on December 15, 2021 and went into contract to have our floors replaced throughout our first level, including fixing the subflooring underneath. We submitted the final claim and bill to Insurance on July 29, 2022 we paid the remaining balance of $4,400 after we received the final payment from insurance, according to RICs bid and billing. The floors were installed Spring of 2022 and by the summer of 2023 the floors had separated to the point of becoming damaged. We called RIC and they came to re-inspect the flooring on September 13, 2023. At inspection, they had agreed the subflooring was not done properly and that the vinyl floor that was installed, should not have been used for the amount of flooring that needed covered due to the size of each plank, it was bound to separate as it has. He agreed that it needs to be re-installed with proper size vinyl planks and said they would get in touch with us about how to move forward. We had not heard from them by September 19th, 2023, so I, ****, called and left a voicemail. They called back on the 20th of September, 2023 and said theyd spoken to the contractor about the floors needing repaired and would call us with a plan. We still had not heard from them by the 26th so I, ****, called and left a voicemail, and did so again on the 29th. At that point *** had tried calling and left two voicemails, all of which have gone unanswered. We sent a certified letter with this exact breakdown of events along with a request for refund, on Oct 14, 2023. Following that we contacted their lawyer and have yet to hear back to get this resolved. Our floors are continuing to come apart.

In early February 2024, I paid RIC Flooring Inc. / Flooring Gurus LLC, owned by *************************, $14,448 to install hardwood floors and epoxy countertops in my home. During the epoxy countertop installation, ************** completely damaged my existing countertops which were in perfect condition due to his experimentation. Despite acknowledging the error and proposing compensation with rock countertops and an undermount sink, he failed to complete the project, causing persistent delays.I engaged The Top Shop, a contractor recommended by **************, to assess the cost of installing new laminate countertops with an undermount sink, which amounted to $3,635.97.From February to May 2024, I made numerous attempts to communicate with ************** to resolve the issue, but he missed deadlines, provided evasive responses, and ultimately blocked my contact attempts. On May 5th, 2024, we agreed on a three-plan approach, with ************** agreeing to reimburse me if the other plans were unsuccessful. However, he became unresponsive and suggested an unacceptable partial resolution on May 9th.This situation has caused substantial financial loss, inconvenience, emotional distress, and even a medical injury. **************' business practices appear to follow a pattern of conning people and not completing projects. (Please read his reviews and experiences other people had recently gone through)I demanded immediate reimbursement of $4,883.97 within 7 days of a demand letter mailed on 5/16/2024, but ************** failed to comply.I request the BBB's assistance in holding ************************* and his companies accountable for their unprofessional and deceptive practices. Please investigate this matter to prevent other consumers from experiencing similar issues.Thank you for your attention to this complaint.

On Aug 18 2023 we paid *** $3,446.12 to order material to complete a flooring project in our kitchen and living room. In October they advised that they would be able to install the flooring. They came and tore the old flooring out. A few days later after no one showed up to lay the flooring we contacted the office and spoke with the office manager. He then advised the flooring was damaged on the warehouse. They were going to reorder the flooring. A week later when speaking with the office manager, they advised the wrong flooring came in and they would have to reorder. After a couple weeks we had not heard anything and attempted to contact the *** office. The phone number was no longer in service. Upon attempting to stop at the offic, the doors were locked and no one would answer the doors which was locked. We havent been able to make contact with anyone and the signs are now taken off the building. As of today 12/15/23 we have not seen a refund, any material, or any services other then the tear out of our floor completed with no answers.

I purchased new flooring and was having basement concrete self leveled and a water barrier painted on before flooring was installed and had upstairs living room and hallway flooring installed too. Deposit was paid Feb if 2023 and after many lies and run around flooring was completed about 3 months later. I have had some buckling issues and needed ric flooring to come out and figure out if the flooring was installed to tightly or the leveling job was not completed correctly. I have left numerous messages and a few emails. Finally decide to track the owner ********************* down on ******** and try and contact him that way and was just blocked. I drove by his showroom and is locked up and empty now and so is his warehouse at another location. Seen on ******** he is now the *** of a company called flooring gurus llc. We have invested about **** with this company and in need of warranty work and appears he is out of business so not sure what can be done besides warning others of his bad business practices and to stay clear.

Ordered flooring that has never showed up. Owner does not return calls and no communication. Sales person has no sales receipt or order number. Owner is always mysteriously out of town. keep giving us different dates when material will be in. We are in the dark and paying interest on a product that was ordered over a month ago. Criminal behavior. Theft.

on June 17, 2022 I put a deposit of $5439.15 with RIC Flooring on my credit card. We have decided not to move forward with *** and have asked for our deposit back. I've had messages and talked directly with ********************* who is the owner and he said that wouldn't be a problem. At first he said he refunded my credit card via square but nothing ever showed up. Next he promised to overnight and never showed up. This has been going on for 3 weeks. I have messages saved to document conversation. ***** will not return calls or text messages.

New flooring was ordered in November of 2020 for living room, hallway, 1 bedroom and the kitchen. The installer arrived January 18th of 2021. That afternoon the owner, *****, called to advise they gave the wrong flooring. I was asked if I wanted it torn out or for them to continue the work. I opted to have them continue as I was already in a hotel and didn't want to spend the additional funds to stay longer. Once the floors were installed we realized the trim job was not up to par as they weren't attached or secured to the floor or wall. I contacted my lawyer as the owner advised that the same contractor could come out and fix it and I asked for a different person because of the job and the experience. My floors were finally finished on March 5th of 2021. After attempting to contact them for an issue with the flooring my the fridge, I contacted my lawyer who sent a letter 1/17/22. They did send out a contractor to replace the tile as it was pulling up. During 2022 I reached out multiple times in different methods regarding the damaged tile and they came out 1 time and advised that I cut the floor. After numerous additional attempts to reach the owner to provide additional images or another check as the damage was in various places, I have not been contacted. I would just like the flooring repaired as I spent over $4000 and was provided a 2 year warranty.
