Kurt at Doubletake trailers took my money 12 weeks ago. He told me it would take 8-10 weeks. He blocked me on ******** and is giving me the runaround. Had I read his Better Business rating first I'd never done business with him. I'm desperate & I need help at this point. I'm losing money.Business response

In November of 2021 I was looking to purchase a Concession Trailer for my ***** business. I contacted Doubletake Trailer in ******************. I choose to order the trailer from them as I was told the timing was 4 to 6 weeks. I sent a deposit check for$ ******* on November 24 2021. I received confirmation that they received the check on November 29 2010. Curt told me via the phone that the trailer has been order and that he would get a drawing from the factory in the next few days to verify the layout. I have tried to contacted Curt at Doubletake by phone or email at least every other day and he does not answer or provide dates for the trailer. The only time he gave me a date since I paid him was on Dec 13th he told me it would be done in 10 days. This week I contacted the manufacturer and they notified me that Doubletake has an outstanding balance with them and that my trailer will not be built until that is settled. So Curt has been lying to me this whole time.Business response

I ordered a trailer through Curt at Doubletake trailers ********************* this past summer. I wrote a check for **% of the price and was given an expected finish date of 8wks. After 3 months and not hearing anything from Curt about delivery - I tried multiple times to reach him by phone and e-mail. He never took the calls and did not reply to any of my inquiries. It has now been over 4 months and still no word from Curt and no trailer. As of this date, I have not filed a criminal complaint - I just want the trailer that I ordered. If the trailer is not delivered - I plan to file a complaint and a civil action with the District Court.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 17, 2022/08/09) */ Costomer was tired of waiting on the factory we issued a refund. factories were backed up do to covid Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2022/08/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Response from DoubleTake business is not accurate. I contacted the factory numerous times and was told each time that DoubleTake Trailer had not placed any orders for the trailer. Kurt provided numerous excuses - each time insisting that he would provide the trailer. Once the ************ Sheriff and Attorney got involved, a refund was finally processed.
