I just want to make a comment about my experience yesterday at Rudys on ************************* in *********. Our waitress and was on her own and super helpful and friendly but sevring every table that was occupied on her own, we gave her our card without the recipt because she had tons of others tables and didnt want her to have to come back again. I found the waitress charged our card the wrong amount which at the time we didn't know. We signed our receipt for the amount that was run for thinking it was correct and left a cash tip and went on our way. Apparently the manager working felt comfortable even though I signed for a dollar amount to add a second charge for the difference of what the **** should have been without our knowledge. We spend money here almost every week but after this I won't be returning! charging my card a second time without my permission feels like theft.Initial Complaint

I recently purchased a Rudy's Tacos 'gift card' for my wife as a gift to her, when she decided to use it (it was not accepted at Rudy's Tacos). It specifically states on the back of the card "good at all Rudy's Tacos locations". This is a local business (in the Quad Cities) and they have several stores/locations here.This created quite a dilemma. Long story short, she had to use her debit card to pay for our meals which nearly caused us to over draw at our bank (that's why she was using the gift card in the first place). Most importantly when you pay 'CASH' for a gift card, then by God you should be able to use the gift card. It should be the same as cash. On the back it states 'good at all Rudy's Tacos locations'! The gift card is only a couple of months old. They said since it was a different color than their newer gift cards they have, that they wouldn't accept it, that's a bunch of nonsense!!! They do sell gift cards at this store we went too, so they surely should accept them! The card also doesn't have an expiration date at all! They said to try it at a different location (which would have been much further drive for us), they're only local, but many miles apart. The whole idea of going to the one we chose was it was close to our home and our food would have been hot still when we got back (plus to use the card because we didn't have enough money in our bank at the time) pay day was the next day for us. We were forced to use our bank debit card, and after all the unnecessary arguing, by the time we got back to our home the food was cold! This is so disappointing as a life long loyal customer of **********************! It caused much stress and mental anguish, and our meal was ruined completely that we had to rob ***** to pay **** so to say because they wouldn't accept their own GIFT CARD!!! We deserve an apology, and compensation.
