      I purchased a Life Annuity From Fidelity and Guarantee Life on May 19, 2023 through a financial advisor. The policy was issued on June 15, 2023. On my anniversary date June 15, 2024, the interest I had earned over the year were dumped into my account and 10% of my funds, $15,459.59, became available to me penalty free. I decided to roll those funds over due to the very low 1.2% return on my investment during a strong economy. I started the process of rolling over the funds on 7/12/2024 through ****** in *********************. I opened an *** and planned to fund it with the penalty free portion of my ***** policy. In addition to confusing and unclear directions from F&G on how to have those funds released to ******, the funds have been in transition for almost 3 weeks now. The funds were taken out of my ***** account on 7/17/2024. I can not believe that they would not electronically transfer these funds and even so, why should it take so long? I have been given conflicting information by F &G as to when the funds should be received. This is my money that should have been earning interest and now CD rates are down, which is the product I had planned to invest my money in.

      I had a life insurance policy with Fidelity & Guaranty Life since 2022. I am surrendering it and have requested my full payments back. It is going on 3 months and they are saying they keep losing my paperwork to surrender my policy. That is a lie because I filed online and they keep closing it for no reason. They are withholding my money and do not want to pay me out a measly $1500.

      Need to change the owner on Jumping Juvenile insurance to the insured person who is no longer a minor. The original owner of the policy passed away March 2024. I am listed as the contingent owner on the same policy. The insurance company has not addressed this issue. I keep getting the same forms to fill out. Before filling them out, I have contacted the company numerous times to be sure they are correct. Each time there is something wrong with them. I have submitted a copy of the original page of the policy issued Sept 1984 noting my designation as contingent owner. I have been told as this policy is so old, it was not loaded into the system. It is in the archives.

      The letter from fidelity is stating that I am going to have my policy over 7 years cancelled for 3 months of none payment when I have made payments for March, April and a late payment in June for **** Someone needs to correct this issue.

      Fidelity & Guaranty Life has been informed about 9 months ago that we are closing one life insurance policy and we requested disbursement of funds. FG has delayed, and requested multiple repeats of forms filled out, our forms have been filled out by our agent who wrote these policies. after 6 repeats and a period of 9 months passed I am complaining to all agencies for support as I am unable to talk with the company since their AI phone service disconnects every call to them. They are frauding consumers.

      My late mother held an annuity with Fidelity & Guaranty Life valued at roughly $25,000. Since October 2023, my sister and I as co-executors and joint beneficiaries, have tried unsuccessfully to close this account. We have submitted required forms multiple times as F&G representatives made new and contradictory demands to release these funds. Last month, responding to yet a new set of demands, my sister and I submitted claims packages that included F&G's claimant statement (revised multiple times, per contradictory instructions from F&G personnel), a 2024 W-R4 withholding certificate, a notarized small estate affidavit, copies of our parents' death certificates; and copies of the living trust and will. Last week F&G rejected our packages again, claiming the small estate affidavits must include a list of the estate's remaining assets with the last four digits of their account numbers. This opens the possibility of fraud, since F&G has our Social Security numbers now, as well as our late parents'. Throughout this process, F&G employees have been rude, clueless, and/or contradictory. They don't deliver on promised follow-up e-mails or phone calls. We are now no closer to closing this account than we were nine months ago.

      Entered by BBB staff DC. Consumer states beginning of June he sent in a form for an annuity request for disbursement of $1700. He called them a couple weeks later to inquire and he was told that he didn't sign the WR form for tax purposes which he did sign. He called back a couple weeks later he was told the he was missing page 4 of the disbursement packet and to fax it which he did. When he called to see if they received it they told him he was still missing a letter from this bank which he provided on July 6. He called today and was told they received all the info and the transaction would be made in 7 days and he feels he's being given the runaround.

      Fidelity Life Associate and efinancial are scams and falsifying information to clients. My policy is for 100k, 2 to 3 months later it changed to 25k. 25k is for health/natural causes and 75k is for accidental in which I did not sign up for. My policy was for 100k health/natural causes and if I wanted accidental it would be additional 25k in which I declined that offer. At this point I am requesting a refund.

      Fidelity & Guaranty Life insurance company. My mother in law was the owner of a life insurance policy on her son, my husband. She purchased and has been paying on this policy since 1987! Her health began to decline around May of 2023, passed Nov 2023. Policy lapsed Nov 2023 as we were caring for her under hospice care. We notified the company of her passing and was trying to get information on how to transfer ownership of this policy and pay the reinstatement fee. Weve been getting the run around, being transferred to different departments. Finally spoke with someone who got us on the right track. Sent in death certificate, letter from probate judge naming my husband as executive of the Estate/policy, reinstatment application form and change of ownership form as requested by F&G. Was notified 3/20 that everything was received and approved to change ownership and reinstating. Now ** being told that there is nothing that can be done bc owner has to sign the paperwork in order for the change of ownership. This company is a joke, Ive been jumping through hoops over the past 6 months bc its something different every time we call. The letter from the probate judge names my husband as executor therefore by law he can make any changes he wants. Ive never had to deal with such a complicated company.
