Finnin *** replaced my rotors and calipers in the past month. Upon installation I noticed that there was excess rust on the rotors installed and they did not look new. I took my car into Midas and the mechanics there said that the rotors *** just installed were extremely rusted and buffed and there was no way it could be new. Since installation the rotors have driven a few thousand miles at most and have only been on there for a month. I ended up getting the rotors replaced as I was not happy with the quality of parts used by Finnin ***. I would like a refund on the labor and cost of the rotors as they already had to be replaced. I have the old rotors boxed up as evidence and *** at Midas first hand account.Pictures can be sent upon request and Finnin *** in ******* has the receipt and payment on record in their system.

Yes, I reached out to Finnin *** multiple times and they refused to take accountability. I even paid them $600 in diagnostics to figure out what was wrong and they didnt come back with anything and said that the rotors were perfect. Upon reaching out today one of the service representatives hung up on me and refused to even take a look at what they found at Midas without being paid. I have a written account from the mechanics at Midas that the rotors appeared to be bad. Note: these rotors had significant rust on them when they were installed. I made a comment about it to *** and I was assured that it was normal, which it isnt.

I have contacted *****, the rotors are in fact new.  Rotors can start to rust almost immediately on the exposed areas.  Right from ****** on this subject:

      Do new rotors rust quickly?
The nature of disc brake operation is such that the friction pads constantly wear away at the surface of each rotor. Each time you park your car, the freshly minted surface of each rotor is exposed to the elements. As you have discovered, the fresh unprotected cast iron will begin rusting almost immediately.

The rotors were buffed by us when he returned with the vehicle to correct the pulling issue when braking.  Per the client after work was completed here his Optima would pull to the right when braking medium to high pressure on the brake, this is a very significant pull.  The technician wanted to clean and adjust the brake system to verify nothing was getting hung up causing the pulling issue and during this cleaning is when the rotors were buffed, both rotors were buffed and we verified the calipers were not sticking, we than could rule out this being the issue causing the client's concern.  The buffing of the rotors was part of our verification process this WAS NOT causing the pulling concern and is why there are buffing marks on your new rotors you returned.

It sounds like the client paid to have this completed twice, I will refund his money for the labor and parts for the replacement of the rotors although this was completed with NEW rotors and is NOT the cause of the issue and the rotors did NOT need to be replaced although from the complaint I am working under the assumption MIDAS is now advising the client and I am not going to get in the middle to make this more unpleasant for the client.  I will refund the money for the rotors and labor and we can shake hands and part friends.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. ***** explained that the rotors were buffed to try to fix the pulling issue. I was unaware this was done and assumed that they came buffed out of the box.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

To all my ******* Friends. If you are looking to purchase a car --- Stay away from Finnin *** I want to complain about Finnin *** in ******* **! Bad customer service starting with *** who according to the website is the Finance Manager/Sales Manager so I dont know why her recent job description includes complaints. You can tell she cant handle complaints, because several times I had to ask her not to yell at me for something they did wrong. She kept yelling and telling me to listen to her because I was lying. (With all receipts and proofs taken to the dealership). ****** in their service department for lying about the situation. Read before you buy a car, because what they sell are LEMONS!! I purchased a *** ****** 2018 and it has more recalls that a Christmas tree! Now of course the dealership prolongs the fixing of an oil consumption and I was told by their service tech. "Take the car, drive it like this until the belts that are on recall break and then probably we can fix it. Just know it is not safe doing that" HOW ???? After they took the car for a week (5th time at the dealership for the same problem! An entire year! ) They tell me rent a car, because you are number 9 on the loaners, plenty of cars with the same situation. Today I have a piece of lemon of a car, a $400 bill for a rental they did not pay which was a lie since they told me they would reimburse me. A bunch of lies, bad customer service and liars from the dealership and I found so many *** Class Action Lawsuit ****************** Defect due to consumptions for my specific model and several others. Now conveniently after the car has been so many times on their dealership for repair about the same situation it is time to fix the engine and they tell me you are over the miles for 995 miles LOL Very convenient ***!! Lets also mentioned they told me to do a change of oil $66 to take my car from them, not realizing I just did one in November
