      JP Plumbing and Heating performed worked at my house. When they arrived, I asked the tech several times what the cost would be. A legitimate business provides quotes UP FRONT to the consumer when doing to this work, they also ask the consumer to agree to these prices by singing a contract. I did not have any prices to agree to, therefore there was never any agreement or contract in place to perform said work. I get a bill months later for nearly $900 which they have sent to a collection agency. I am demanding JP Plumbing and Heating cease all further collection activities and forgive this debt, just as the nearly $100k PPP loan they received was forgiven.

      The customer called us to relocate a gas line & look at his water heater on approximately last day of Feb 2022. We told him on telephone that it would be time & materials. We went to job address on 3/4/22 and ran a new gas line for kitchen, the water heater was un-repairable and he did not want us to replace, wanted to do it himself. Since the water heater was under warranty he wanted us to pick up new and do the extra work of trying to warranty a water heater that had been purchased & installed by a different company. We told him that we would just bill as time & materials. We picked up water heater for him at his request after hours & did not bill overtime & after a couple of phone conversations letting him know this was time and materials and him saying he would bring water heater to us since he did not want any more time on his bill, we eventually picked up the old so we could try for reimbursement. This was finally picked up by us on 3/14/22 since he had not delivered to us. We finally sent an invoice on 4/12/22. We did not get reimbursed from manufacture for water heater cost until 5/6/22. We sent a late statement in June & he sent an email complaining of our service and our bill & ************** in June, we responded letting him know why it took so long to bill. We sent another collections letter in July. After not getting payment or response over time. We sent into a collection agency towards the end of November. Since it was an unusual service call, most customers generally will use the company that installed the Water Heater to replace and wanting to do the installation himself, we told him we would billed at time and material. We did let him know our hourly rate.  The original company is about 10 minutes from his residence. We are 30 minutes from this customer.
