I met ****** Cable, ************, of Done Brothers while he was building a retaining wall on a property adjacent to my ********************************************************** home. I asked him to come and look where I wanted to install stone steps. He saw I had a long PVC sump pump channel above ground. He was very enthusiastic about wanting to bury larger diameter drainage system for me. I told him I never had freeze issues, no back **** and a receptacle I had at the ditch provided water for a lot of animals all year. His bid seemed to incorporate all this. He called 20 Dec and said he would like to do the work that week. I said I didn't want him to work the 23rd as I would not be home. He did the work 22 and 23 Dec. I started contacting him early Jan 2022 as the ice was building up over the end of drainage he installed. The outlets near the foundation were coated in ice. I sent him an email on 11 Jan 22 with pictures. He didn't contact me. I started going out every other day or so and pouring boiling water to keep the outlet at the ditch open. When I saw moisture marks on basement wall I called for him to come and do something. When he called me back it took time to convince him he made a mistake by attaching a narrow piece of PVC to the large under ground tube and laying that small piece of PVC in a shallow bowl. He said he would come the 23rd and I should buy a heated pet bowl. The 23rd I went out with boiling water and melted ice and ground. ****** pulled up the shallow bowl, put in the heated bowl, but pushed dirt and large stones around the bowl. He created a dam and the ice problem got worse and caused a road hazard. I finally got him back after many txts with pictures. 8 Feb 22 he moved some dirt and said he won't do more until I pay him more. 9 Feb no water coming from outlet. I called another contractor. He pointed out numerous errors ****** made. He removed the collar with lots of ice and the small piece of PVC. Water now flows safely into the ditch.
