On September 5, 2022, we completed an Office Visit at UnityPoint ******************* North Port Drive for my minor child, ****** ****************. The physician/provider for the appointment was: *****************************, ARNP. Patient: ************************* Account #************* provider never submitted the bill to our insurance (insurance which our minor child has had since she was born on November 25, 2021). I have called multiple times and spoken to multiple people in the billing department for UnityPoint Clinic and they have all advised that they would submit the bill to insurance and that someone would follow up with me. No one has ever submitted the invoice to insurance and they have never followed up. I have been calling them on this for over a year now. Recently, I received a letter showing that UnityPoint turned the bill over to a collections agency. I refuse to pay a collections agency since I have insurance. Additionally, I have tried calling billing multiple times since receiving the letter from the collection agency and no one in the billing department answers and they also do not return voicemails. Another important point is that this same clinic has submitted other bills to our insurance and has been paid by our insurance provider, Humana/Tricare. However. this particular bill they did not submit for an unknown reason. I would like someone from UnityPoint Clinic to resolve the issue by submitting the bill to insurance, removing the debt from the debt collector, and contacting me to verify that it has been taken care of. The amount of the bill is $207.20.Business response

Good morning -
This was listed as the second attempt to contact me on this case but it is the first time I've received the inquiry.
This account has been pulled back from the collection agency and written off. The consumer's insurance has a deadline on when a claim may be filed and we are outside of that deadline. That is why the account balance was written off.
The consumer should no longer receive any inquiries on the bill.
