Had a problem with Whirlpool Cabrio washer ~10 yrs old. Machine would fill properly and then wash for several minutes before jumping to spin cycle where it would spin for a couple of minutes and then stop with "ol" warning. Went to A&J who sent ***** out on October 4. He spent upwards of 60 minutes to diagnose the problem. Seemed fixated on how the washer would fill. ***** decided that the problem was with the water valve. He gave no indication of the possibility that there might be any other cause for the problem. Not even a hint that ******'s reputation was mediocre. He offered two choices: pay $439.62 or buy a new washer. Since I am not an expert, I trusted his advice and paid $439.62. On October 14, he installed the new water valve. I ran the washer and had the exact same problem as before: fill properly, wash for a few minutes and jump to spin cycle. I went back to A&J and asked if I could have the washer evaluated by a more experienced technician. ******* came out on October 17 and took only ***** minutes before telling me that the bearings were bad and that the cost to replace was prohibitive. He reminded me that Whirlpool Cabrio is known for multiple problems. I went back to A&J on October 17 to talk with the manager concerning my payment of $439.20. The woman there understood my problem and said that "someone will call". After no call by October 20, I went back to A&J. Again, "someone will call". No one has called as promised. As time goes by, I find it hard to believe that anyone at A&J is concerned about my issue. I am guided by the concept that a person cannot make a good decision without good advice. Because I got faulty advice from A&J, I am asking for a refund of $300. That would leave A&J $139.62 which I feel is a fair price for a service call to evaluate my washer.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.I gave A & J Sales my home phone number ************ as well as my cell phone number ************. Have not had any calls on either number.
