      My car was in for warranty work at the Waterloo location which charge me 107 dollars for Diagnostic that wasnt even done correctly because they told me it needed a high pressure fuel pump that wasnt under warranty so I went with a truck and trailer picked my car back up and brought it home to fix it myself just to find out that wasnt the issue so I then had to call them again to teller them that I needed it brought back because the motor was junk (I did a compression check myself and found that the motor only had 30 pounds of compression. So they came and got my car towed it back to their shop and finally actually checked the motor and it was junk (which I found out when I called them because they couldnt call me back) they have now had my car for 31 weekdays (thats not including weekend days) I have had to call them ever week for an update because they have not updated me at all I have been told different stores from everyone of when my car will be done. I do have phone records showing the two times the guy running the three stores in ne iowa have called me but that is it

      I purchased my vehicle from Witham approx 2 months ago which is still under warranty. Last week I took it in to be services as the following codes had been popping up: Check Engine light, EPC, and another one and was causing me to not be able to accelerate when I drove. They ended up putting in a new fuel pump and chalked it up as a factory warranty issue which is whatever, but when I got the car back it was making a rattling noise in the passenger side at idle. I brought it back to be look at again and they tried telling me it was due to a clogged cabin filter. At first they tried telling me I'd have to replace it but after speaking with them further about it they replaced it. The rattling noise seemed to have gone away when we picked up the vehicle but within 24 hours was back. I feel like they're not doing a thorough inspection of the vehicle and really looking into what is going on. They're doing lazy, half a** work and its causing me to consistently waste my gas money to drive back and forth to bring my car to be looked at and causing time off of work which is also wages lost. Their servicing **** ***** and I shouldn't even be having these issues given it's a fairly new car that was just purchased from them. NEVER BUYING ANOTHER CAR FROM HERE AGAIN!

      On 6-13-22 I purchased a 2023 *** ********* On the surface it met all my requirements, my top requirement was that it had to be able to pull my fishing boat. On7-9-2022 I purchased the required hitch and wiring assembly from Witham auto center for $817.21. On **** 2022 I spent 2 and a half hours at their service center only to be told the connecter needed for this was never installed at the factory. I made contact with the salesman I purchased the vehicle from on 8-4-2022. He stated *** has no harness or instructions or an if or when this will happen and to call ***'s helpline which was not helpful. The only offer made was a trade in. I was sold a vehicle that it's owner's manual states it will pull a trailer and the salesman and manager also said it will. (*****************************) They sold me a vehicle and worthless parts and their only solution to the problem is for me to spend even more money and time. *** and Witham sold a product that will not perform as they claimed.

      The Customer has fixed the issue using an aftermarket device with Boubin muffler. We did take care of the additional cost to do this with the customer.

      In addition the customer is returning the parts he purchased and getting his money back.

      Date: June 3, 2022 Problem: We purchased a car from Witham Motors that had serious problem we did not know about. We drove it home about 100 miles, the next day we drove it again and it smoked terribly. I checked the oil and it was 2 quarts low although there was an oil change sticker on the windshield and I was assured by 2 salesman and the Used car manage that the car had gone through a *********************** addition, the muffler had a hole in it. I called the dealership and was told I bought the car as is, which I knew. I believe that they knew about the smoking and oil consumption but sold it anyway. The sales manager confirmed this to me when he wrote back to me in a letter that if they had reconditioned the car, it would have been more expensive. I believe their guarantee is misleading as we are not happy customers. We are senior citizens and we can't afford to repair the Equinox OUR GUARANTEE Witham Auto Centers is the only auto dealer in the Cedar Valley market to offer a three part guarantee: Like It or Return It Our Lowest Price Complete Satisfaction At Witham Auto Centers, we're not satisfied until our customer is satisfied.We have only put 300 miles on it since purchasing it and have not driven it since I checked the oil at my local mechanic who confirmed it was low on oil. After adding the oil, it was black, even with the new oil so I am not sure it was ever changed or checked at the dealership. I found out later that the problem with the muffler was the result of burning oil so the converter is probably bad too, which the dealership must have known. In addition, it has a bad CV joint. I asked for the 27 point check but could not get it. I don't know how it could have passed with the above problems.

      Our managers have spoken with *** about his purchase of the vehicle. He purchased the vehicle "as is" with no warranty. He was aware we discounted the vehicle over $3000 because of issues with the car. When he originally called back we responded and waited for a return call. He has been talking with our General Sales manager to see if we can help him with some of the issues to make him happy. The last conversation was 7/18/2022 he is in process of bringing the vehicle back to have us look it over.

      I am not rejecting this response yet. I have been working with *********************** to try and resolve the issues with the Equinox. As for ********************** responsive, I knew the vehicle was discounted below the normal retail price but we were not told it was because it was blowing blue oil smoke, had a problem with the muffler because of the blue oil smoke, and needed a new CV joint. Yes we bought the car "as is" but according to the **** AG website, the dealer has a responsibility to disclose known problems, which they would have had to know about when it passed their 27 item check. They did pick it up today so it has gone back to the dealer. **************** and I are still working together.
