on friday the 13th of october 2023 i went into sunnyside automotive and purchased a vehicle. I was told there were no real outstanding problems with the vehicle and the only damages were cosmetic everything else was fine mechanically, so i was told. however, upon arrival at home that evening i could not get the parking lights to turn off. i tried pulling every fuse in the box but the lights remained on. i asked the salesman why they had to jump it. he told me it had a bad battery. this was proven to be a complete lie by my own experience the evening of the day i purchased it. It was a 2006 ****** tribeca with 210k sold to me for **** cash. upon waking in the morning i planned on having to jump the vehicle but to my great astonishing surprise i found that they didn't give me a door key. they didn't disclose no door key to me at time of purchase. I couldn't unlock the vehicle because the battery was dead and no key. i called them they responded they didn't know what to tell me. i said take this **** vehicle back you lied to me. they declined. i threatened to *** them and they laughed upon which i hung up. in the car was important court documents and i had to gain access. i waited two days and finally broke in. what they did by not disclosing the lighting is***s and no key was severely detrimentally affected my life. i want them to exchange the car for said purchase price. even though they are crooks i would still rather make some kind of arrangement they'd be willing to do.Business response

We were unaware that the ignition key did not open any other doors so for that we apologize. We are willing to have a key made for your car on us. Just give us a call and we will work it out. As for the battery issues, we did make it known that there was a problem which requires the vehicle needing jump started often. We lowered the price even more because of that issue. I purchased a vehicle from sunny side and it wasn't a show car by any means but i needed something to get back and forth to work . ***** who is the main sales associate told me the engine light was on and giving a shift code but the car shifted just fine, a couple weeks later I got on the main highway and could not maintain highway speed as if it wasn't going into the highest gear. I took the car back to talk to them and they said to check the transmission fluid I left the car there for the mechanic to look at . A week later ***** called me and told me it needed 600 dollars in repair that the shift solenoid needed to be replace. I reminded him that he assured me the car shifted just fine. He proceeded to tell me i signed a contract and that he would not make the repair. I was treated with complete dishonesty.
