    I have a vehicle in which the window won't roll up. I googled what the problem might be and the consensus was that it was the window regulator. I called several auto repair shops in the ***** area to: 1.) tell them about the issue and confirm the diagnosis and 2.) get a quote for the repair. Garry's Automotive told me to bring the car down so I could get a quote. I left my keys there thinking that they would be able to quote me a price and get the car promptly repaired. They called me and gave me a quote for $945. After receiving better quotes from other repair companies, I told them to not touch the car and that I'll pick it up tomorrow. When I got there to get the car, they wanted $200 for their "inspection" of the vehicle. I told them that I did not agree to this at all. All I wanted was a quote for the repair--the same thing I wanted from the 4 other repair shops I contacted. They said that they had to test the car to make sure it was the correct diagnosis (it was). They said they took the door panel off, tested the motor assembly and concluded it was the regulator. I told them that this was unacceptable. I did agree in any way with them when I dropped the car off to pay any fee. I only thought that leaving the car there would be more expeditious in getting the repair done. In no way did I authorize them to perform $200 worth of "inspection" for what I thought was close to a $400-$500 repair (of which I showed them a quote via email for $410.) They didn't even bother to roll the window up when they had the door panel open. Maybe I would have paid the inspection fee if there was some kind of service attached to it. But no. I told them that I would just like my car back and walk away. They had lost my business forever. Fortunately, they gave me my keys back and I left without incident (other than expressing my dissatisfaction with them to charge me $200 for an outrageous quote.) I hope that this message on BBB is the end of it.

    I'm sorry we missed your expectations *******. There was certainly a miscommunication that led to you feeling this way. However, in the end, we dealt with the miscommunication in the correct way, by giving you what you wanted, a free estimate for the repair that you wanted. You were not charged any money. It seems unfair that just because there was a miscommunication, that you negatively reviewed my company on multiple platforms without ever speaking to anyone in management or ownership. Rather than an honest review this is beginning to look like an emotional vendetta.
