05/04 I had an appt at 10am for a tint that was quoted $275. Quote wasnt honored and I was asked to pay $300 for a better quality product. I agreed. My friend had an appt the same day at 2:30pm so I figured my car would be done by then. I was told two separate times to come back in 40 minutes and my car would be done. This went well after 2:30pm. My car was done around 5:30pm and it was already darker and I could not see the result. This owner ended up falling asleep on the job, which I have video proof of. In total, my car was held for 7.5 hours and looked awful. There was additional damage from their equipment and trash that was left in my car. I left a ****** review 5/11 requesting a refund with no response. I reached out to the owner via ******** and initiated a refund request. The owner became defensive and stated she doesnt give refunds but offers guarantees. Dropping off my vehicle was my first interaction with the owner and has not at any point been made aware of this policy. The owner agreed to refund the $320 within 7-10 business days. On 5/20 the owner backed out of this agreement and again wants to work on my car again. I would like help to recoup this loss. If not, I intend to take the owner to small claims for the *** $5000 for this ongoing issue that is causing distress and a financial burden on my life. Ill have to pay someone to fix what shes done to my car which will not be cheap.

I tinted two cars for her one was her girlfriends and one was hers. When they got to my shop I upsold them ceramic film instead of basic carbon film for the $300 on the 2006 ****** Camry and $300 on a Q5. Because of the time frame I ended up telling **** I would give her her tint for free. I was booked 2 tinters for the day and my employee quit the day before. The total was $318 after tax for the ******. I have to charge tax by law. I do no offer refunds I offer lifetime guarantees it is clearly posted up in my shop. I was willing to give her a refund but I told her she needed to bring back the car so I could remove the window film. She refused to do so. This is not on me As I stated I do not offer refunds I offer lifetime guarantees and it is clearly posted in my shop. I will attach the communication between her and I here.

I do not generally offer a refund it is clearly stated in my shop. I offer a double lifetime guarantee one for my film and one for my service. I did offer this customer a refund due to the anger she displayed with me but she became disrespectful and did not agree to the terms. The refund would be given if she returned my film. She did not want to bring her car in for the refund I was offering I do not give out free window film. She didnt want to return my product for a refund and now has filed this complaint. Our conversation is listed in the photos.

I am rejecting this response because: The policy was not clearly posted in the shop the day I brought my car in. The owner also never mentioned this policy prior to services being rendered. The owner fell asleep during the services being done and caused damage to my vehicle. I asked for a partial or full refund and she refused both. Given the experience, damage to my vehicle and poor quality of work, I do not trust this owner to work on my vehicle again. A refund is the only option to resolve this matter. I am in the process of taking her to small claims for far more than $320 (the amount I paid her). Either a refund of $320 or an agreed partial refund is the only way I will agree for this to be resolved. Otherwise, it will be through court and I will seek reimbursement for the damage done to my vehicle on top of the $320.

      Sincerely,

I did offer a refund to the customer if she brought it back to get my tint removed. I told her how refunds work she did not want to bring the car back. I do not give away my film for free. I normally do not even offer refunds but I did with this customer. It was her choice not to bring it back.

I am rejecting this response because:

This owner seems to think after damaging my vehicle during install, I should trust her to remove her poor quality of work. This owner could benefit from learning the law in ***** and her responsibilities and obligations as a business owner. The service she provides, is not something you strip off a vehicle and reuse. I will move forward with the small claim and seek more than the $320 since this owner is completely unreasonable and scamming customers.

      Sincerely,
