It is over 100F outside and Boise Power chose to manually turn power off and after being off for more than 10hrs still have not even sent out any type of update on their progress for power restoration. In our household we have multiple people that are at risk in high heat conditions and we have not heard anything from them even after reaching out multiple times. Extremely negligent service providers!

I made my monthly payment, and they still turned off my power, and refused to turn it back on without me, paying them a reconnect fee. As you can see in the documentation $200 was taken out of my account today, but was posted yesterday to be taken out.

Idaho Power claimed I had missed a payment of $103 on October of 2023 due to an auto withdraw from my bank account that had a balance of $0, once I noticed this issue when paying my bill the following month, I contacted Idaho Power's customer care line on November *********, and was informed that while this technically fell within Idaho Power policy in regards to missed payments, I did not have to worry about my power being cut off so long as I paid the missed payment as well as the current months bill which amounted to around $300. I was okay with this arrangement but due to my current physical health I was unable to pay the full amount that month as I am currently on an unpaid medical leave and on a fixed income. After relaying this information back to customer care, I was informed that making a payment of $103 for the current months bill was an acceptable alternative provided I can pay off the full amount as soon as I was able to, and as long as I made consistent payments that I would not have to worry about losing power throughout the winter. During this call I discovered my service address was incorrect and was informed that a letter would be sent to **** by Idaho Power to verify the address and update it in their system. On January 22nd, 2024, at around 9:40am I noticed I no longer had power, and upon investigating discovered an Idaho Power worker getting into his work truck and preparing to leave. Not knowing why power the power was off I went outside to inquire about a possible outage or maintenance work being done in my area which was when I discovered a notice attached to my door stating I owe Idaho Power $760.75. Calling into customer care and eventually their corporate office I was informed that notices and demand letters had been sent to me via mail and that they proceeded only after my failure to respond. During the course of these calls I also learned my service and mailing address apparently "do not exist" so their letters were not being received

I was able to verify with ***************** ************** and the ****************** Department that my address has been active in their systems since 2022, attached is the letterhead from the ****************** Department verifying this information as well. Idaho Power's reasoning for why my service and mailing address was not updated on November 31st of 2023. when I requested the change was because it "did not exist in ****** system" and that I must contact them myself to correct it. Based on the evidence provided by the ****************** office this claim by Idaho Power is false.

Last year I contracted ************ to place solar panels on my house, and grid tie it to the Idaho Power Grid. In order to go forward with project, we need to check in with Idaho power for approval, and to see if any upgrades needed to be made to my house in order to do this project. The attached file "*********************** NEM" is a letter from Idaho power to ************ explaining that no upgrades need to to be made to my house or power system. I was told however that I would need them to install a new meter that was compatible with my solar array. After installation of my solar panels on November 1st, 2022, Idaho power decided to inform me that my meter was in an illegal spot as as there is no public access to it. My meter is currently in my backyard between my two neighbors yards, my house, and my garage, mounted to the back of my house. It is unacceptable that Idaho Power failed to mention BEFORE installation as I am now being quoted an additional $11,000 by ************ to move the meter to the front of my house. I never would have gone through with the project had I known. As you can see in the document titled, "Interconnection Application". The rules were explained to me after the fact. This is not a rule that Idaho Power has bothered to actively enforce. My neighbors all have their meters on the same spot in the back of the house. Additionally I have see government facilities in violation of this rule. As far as I am concerned this is nothing but bullying, as Idaho Power doesn't bother to enforce this rule anywhere. If this is really a problem, I would like Idaho Power to fix it on their dime, as they failed to disclose the proper information until after the installation. They can also feel free to stop bullying me, and give me my meter. If they had informed me of the additional cost, I wouldn't have gone through with this. If I had other options, I would seek power utility service elsewhere. This monopoly doesn't want customers to seek other solutions

      Dear Resolutions Specialist:

Your letter dated April 24, 2023, concerning the complaint of ****************** has been referred to me for reply.  While I am happy to research the account in order to respond to Mr. ******** complaint concerning Idaho Power Company, I would ask you to note that Idaho Power Company is a regulated utility subject to the jurisdiction of the Idaho ****** Utilities Commission.

I have reviewed Our Customer Generation application process and confirmed that during the Interconnection Application process Idaho Power checks all equipment maintained by our company. This is to verify for the applicant if any changes will be necessary at their cost to that equipment. The meter base isnt maintained by Idaho Power and would not be part of this process. In addition, the initial inspection is not performed at the home. The equipment is evaluated using detailed information we maintain internally.

In the Meter Location section in the letter provided does state that the meter is to be placed in front of ********* on the property. This is stated in the second paragraph of that section.

An onsite inspection isnt performed by Idaho Power until we have received a System Verification form. This is after the solar equipment is installed. It is at this time that the meter base location is verified among other equipment installation.

Regarding meter access in general. It is necessary for there to be no obstructions to the meter. This can include any fencing, debris, or foliage for some examples.

      Regards,

      *********************
