BuyGoods has poor integrity. In their website description of Herpesyl, they stated: “We recommend taking at least 3 bottles of Herpesyl over a period of 90 days. And if you want to be completely safe… Then we recommend taking at least 6 bottles or more. This is guaranteed to naturally put off the herpes virus to sleep once and for all.” This contradicts their 60 day money back guarantee. Most people who have had herpes viruses for many years have fewer outbreaks than earlier. One or two times a year (or even over two years) is not uncommon. Someone who purchases 6 bottles and takes the required dose faithfully and then a few months later has an outbreak, according to their policy, has no recourse. Their integrity is also questionable due to a lack of internet access to a full range of actual consumer reviews. However, most grievous is their referencing and posting of numerous research studies that supposedly support the efficacy of Herpesyl. Most of the research posted only studied the herpes viruses and not what kept them in remission. Only one study focused on what activated the viruses to leave remission. Their entire product description/ advertisement is deceptive. In addition, all of the online articles I was able to access and read whose titles questioned the validity of the product were written as additional pieces of advertising and provided links to their website which supplied the reviewers with compensation. Granted, at the bottom of the website is a statement that BuyGoods’ “role as retailer does not constitute an endorsement, approval, or review of this product, any claim, statement , or opinion used in promotion of this product.” While that statement and the standard “Not reviewed by the FDA” removes them from any legal liability, (and customer’s lawsuits) it does not remove them from ethical liability. Consumers should be protected from this kind of business abuse.
