*** Mason, the builder and company proved to me that good things can come from sewage. My house in *********** was built by Ted Mason Signature Homes 2.5 years ago. The week before Thanksgiving I started experiencing plumbing problems. I tried the usual home remedies and then contacted a plumber. The plumber came out quickly and just as rapidly determined my mainline to the sewer needed to be snaked. After several attempts at snaking the line, the snake broke off and the plumber used a camera to see if it might help determine what the problem was. The line was so filled with sewage that not much could be determined other than the snake was stopped halfway to the sewer and directly under my driveway. The cost to repair the problem was estimated at $12K. The plumber suggested I contact my homeowners insurance. I did and learned that my policy only covered the pipes inside my home. The plumber next suggested I contact my builder but did not hold out much hope as my house was probably no longer under warranty. I called and emailed *** Mason, my builder and he said he would come out the next morning. *** came by, scoped out the situation, and had his plumber come out and offer a 2nd opinion. Teds plumbers determined that something may have happened to the pipes but they would not know until the concrete in the drive and 6 feet of dirt were removed. By this point, Thanksgiving was a day away and I had survived neatly a week using a luggable loo. Wed. afternoon ********* arrived to dig out the cement and dirt. Once done, the pipe was found to be partially crushed. The crew replaced the pipes and filled in the hole barely before it was pitch black outside. I could use my kitchen to prepare for Thanksgiving and did not have to share my luggable loo with guests! My gratitude on Thanksgiving was directed to *** Mason and his crew. I cannot more highly recommend the builders professionalism and willingness to make things right.
