We were contacted by this company to support a "sponsorship" and they claimed they were "collaborating" with the Athletic Director of *********************, a local school. Upon contacting the school, it claims, as many others have in the past that no such relationship exists. The company's e-mail was as follows:FROM: ********************************** "Hi there! My name is ********, and I am a project coordinator at All-American Publishing. We're creating Spirit Shirts for **********************We would love to highlight your business on the t-shirts! All of our products are provided at no charge to the school, exciting for the kids -- provided by generous sponsors like you. A very select number of businesses will be showcased on these unique t-shirts. We are collaborating with ***** *****, the Athletic Director at the high school. We're preparing 100 t-shirts that will be tossed out into the crowds at Sporting Events and Pep Rallies to promote school spirit! If you would like to participate in this project, reply and let me know and I will send you more info on what you would need to do to sign up and secure your spot!PS - We are also doing projects for these local schools:-**************************** ****************************************************************** Shirts)If you'd like to participate on any of these projects please let me know!"When contacted, Westville HS Principal ****** ******* replied:"Hello,Please disregard the email. I spoke with our superintendent and AD. We are not working with them currently. *******,
We respect your concern and take your complaint very serious. We look carefully at each situation to see how we can improve our practices. After reviewing the notes documenting our communication with *********************, I can see that our previous point of contact is no longer at the school and we were unaware of that change. That explains why who you spoke with at the school was not aware of the project. We are now communicating with the Superintendent, ***** Ton and following his direction to stop all calls but to complete the shirts for the school. Thanks again for your concern. We wish you the best.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because this issue is consistent with constant practices at the business. Being responsible for updating practices contact information and campaign information is not addressed. No addressing of how prevention of this consistent problem going forward was provided. The company contacted us about 3 schools and did not address the two other schools which they are likely misrepresenting.Sincerely,

I can appreciate the gap we left in our last response and see why you were unsatisfied. I think the salient points remain on two fronts:how we ensure to do better in the future and the legitimacy of our contract with **************************** and *********************************.
The situation where we started sales on a school project without realizing the school contact had changed is unfortunate, and you are right that it is not an isolated incident. We deal with thousands of schools each season, and it is easy for them to slip through the cracks, especially when the schools are newer to us, as was the case with Westville. Our existing process has us signing the contract sometimes several seasons in advance of sales, we communicate with schools right away about what to expect from us, then we send communications at the beginning of the sales season and as sales progress. We are working to add staff to be able to have more direct interaction with school contacts and to rely less on email. Unfortunately, I believe this will take us some time to solve as we hire and train more staff, add in new touch points and evaluate whether they add value to our many school relationships. I wish it was a simpler, faster fix, but the scale of our business makes change slow.
Our school relationships with both other schools mentioned in our pitch email are long-standing. We have worked with ***** Grove since fall of 2010. We are currently in close contact with the ** and athletic secretary as they complete multiple projects with us each year. Unlike *********, they have been actively in touch and responding to our communications about this project as they have been in the past projects completed. We have worked with ********************* since 2016, but we have working with several contacts there and not the same one each season. We are currently working with the *************** advisor and she has also been in communication with us since the project started and she is fully expecting a successful project and new t-shirts.
I recognize that these facts will likely not change your mind about working with us on these projects but I hope they alleviate some of your concern that we are out here misrepresenting high schools. Please keep in mind that only unhappy consumers tend to leave reviews and we are in good standing with the BBB because the number of complaints we receive is very low for the large volume of business that we do everyday. Just like you, we care about high school student activities and want to see them thrive in connection with their communities. Best wishes to you in the future.Initial Complaint

We filed to open a business, and immediately got contacted by this company to buy T-shirts for a local school. The company refused to tell us how they acquired our email address (as we arent even moved in yet!). They also failed to provide proof of partnership with our local high school, citing basic information that can easily be found online to portray or represent themselves as agents of the local school.Business Response

All American publishing made shirts for our local school district that I support. They mailed two shirts to me without authorization. I told them I did not authorize the shirts and they don't seem to care. Best thing is, the athletic director at the district doesn't even know about the program. I refused to pay, and was sent to collections. What a scam of a company.Business Response

Thank you for your feedback about your experience. After reviewing notes on your account, I see that your business was advertised on two different school t-shirt projects (your advertisement appeared on 100 shirts for each school). Unfortunately, when you called the school and spoke to the athletic director, he is not our contact and did not have the full information. Our contacts are the Assistant Principal at one school and the *** Advisor at the other. Since your advertisement was on both school t-shirt projects, we sent you two shirts as a courtesy. *** confirmed with our customer service department that your balance due is $0. We wish you the best.Initial Complaint

All American Publishing will not stop harassing me with calls - they call at all hours of the day from local numbers that are "disconnected" when I try to call them back. I've notified ******** J of All American Publishing that my phone number is on the national do not call list, and I've requested that they do not contact me anymore, yet the calls persist. My lawyer advised me to post this review before we take legal action.Business Response

I was contacted by this All-American Publishing out of the blue and was told they help provide schools with marketing materials to raise money for individual sports teams. They contacted me on my office line at least 3 times every week selling t-shirts for the girls basketball team. The sales *** guaranteed me they worked "hand in hand" with the local high school to provide funding for the schools teams. I agreed to sponsor originally, but then had a weird feeling so I decided to do some checking around. I called the high school directly and no one in the admin office or any athletic office has ever heard of all american publishing. They essentially said they would check into this and to be careful because it sounds like a scam. I was kind of annoyed that this company is preying on small businesses to scam them out of money, and then do absolute nothing whatsoever to actually support our local high school teams. I took it a step further and contacted the head basketball coach directly because again, the sales *** said she knew the coach personally and works with the school often. Well it turns out that the head coach directly told me to NOT donate any money to this company because they don't actually sponsor anything. The coach actually told me it would be better to donate directly to her and the team. After all this, I spoke with billing at *** and she said she would be reaching out to the high school ***resentative and would 3 way me into a call to have everything explained. As expected, I never heard a single thing back from this crooked company and instead of giving me what I asked they just sent me directly to collections without following through on their end of the agreement. BUYERS BEWARE. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I have tried reaching a resolution with the collections agency and they are just as unhelpful as the people who work at all american publishing. I would like someone from this company to rectify the siutation.Business Response

*******, I can imagine how frustrating this situation must be for you. We appreciate your feedback about your experience with our *** and the school. Unfortunately, it sounds like you spoke to someone at the school who did not have the full information. Since we work with groups within the school, and contract directly with athletic directors, coaches or club advisors, this does happen sometimes where the school office is unaware of our partnership. Additionally, our contact at the school changed mid-year in 2024. Im not sure who you spoke to,but please be aware that our point of contact is Alle ***** and her email is ****************************** We are truly a legitimate company, and have been partnering with schools for 25+years. We've had a great relationship with this school, working on t-shirt projects together since 2015. I want to assure you that we track every complaint and use them to inform how we can get better at what we do. We will rectify this situation by marking your account with a zero balance. I apologize for your experience and wish you the best.Customer Answer

This company disguises as a charitable business that helps local schools, their website is even called wehelpschools. Nothing could be further from the truth. They ask small local businesses to make a donation, and in return the local school would receive 100 free t-shirts for their sports team with your logo on it. After near daily phone calls from this company, I was harassed into agreeing to make a donation under the understanding this would help my local school. I then researched the company to find that they do not donate any of the money to the schools and only donate the t-shirts. The real issue arose when the t-shirt came in and had approximately 10 businesses logos, totaling upwards of $3000+ in advertisement money collected. When I questioned where the money is being used to help the school, they come up with an entire excuse for the usage of funds like a normal person doesnt understand how cheap t-shirts can be made. ****, it is a business, that hides behind the facade of a charitable organization doing good for schools, just to profit off small businesses. Disgusting. For 3 months Ive asked to hear from anyone at the school to corroborate the doing of business with this scam company, but not an email or a phone call can be received from anyone at the school. But, this company is very eager to send me to collections and sends me a bill almost biweekly. Three months of back and forth with collections and they still think Im going to pay them to continue scamming small businesses. Im not sure how anyone could work for this company knowing what theyre doing to small businesses in *******.Business Response

****, Your feedback is important to us, and we take all customer concerns seriously. We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication you experienced with our company. It is not our policy or our intent to communicate that we are a charity. The sales *** who you spoke with is no longer employed with us. I also want to address your concern about our pricing. We work diligently to ensure that our products and services meet high-quality standards and that our pricing is fair and competitive. We prioritize sustaining operations, investing in research and development, and providing competitive wages and benefits to our employees. Also, you may not realize that since 1996 we have given back over $20 million to schools. The t-shirt project you participated in gained enough support for us to provide 200 t-shirts instead of just the standard 100. Not all of our projects perform as well. We wish you all the best in the future. Your balance is credited to zero.Customer Answer

I was contacted by this company about advertising on T-Shirts for our local high school. I am all for supporting the local schools and agreed to learn more. However, I expressed my skepticism of the legitimacy of the company twice in two separate phone calls. When asked to ****** my sponsorship, I was told that the shirts had already gone to print and I could not do so. I received the sample shirt to find that an old logo for our previous company was printed on the shirts. This is not even a family-related company that is in existence anymore. Reviewing my email correspondences, I see where I sent our current logo, however, it was not used. Now I am being charged $349 for T-Shirts with a logo for a company that no longer exists. I have called the school and they have not even heard of this company or this program, so who knows if the shirts will even be distributed. I certainly don't want to go into collections over this, but I do not feel that I should have to pay for a logo that is not mine and I did not approve.Business Response

I am very sorry that your experience with All American Publishing was not a good one. After reviewing your account notes I see that proofs of the shirt were sent to you in June and July and we had multiple attempts to contact you. Your request to cancel was on September 13th, but at that point shirts had already printed on September 3rd. We do our best to serve our schools and businesses with excellence, and its very disappointing when we miss the ***** With the volume of work we do, mistakes are inevitable, but I am very sorry that you experienced the mistake of the wrong logo printing. We will credit your account to zero. We wish you the best on all of your endeavors.Customer Answer

In July I was contacted by All-American Publishing about printing shirts for ***********************. I raised concerns to *** in **************** as we had not heard anything from **** in this regard and on 9/17/24 she forwarded an "authorization letter" supposedly signed by ******* *******, the *** Advisor for **** -- the date on that was 6/15/2022. In looking at the **** web-portal, it clearly states that the criteria for projects like this require prior approval. I sent email to ******* via the **** portal and have not received any answer to date. On 10/5/24 I sent a response to *** in **************** (this goes back to ****************************************** there is no individual email address) outlining that we had NOT received confirmation from WVHS/******* in this regard and notifying them that we were declining involvement with this product or processs & requested removing us from any current projects requesting support of in addition to any future requests as well. On 10/29 I rcvd an email from ***** ******** ************ stating she shows no emails from me, that *** called and provided proper contact (again we did reach out and no response), and threatening that this will go to an outside collection agency if we do not pay. We did not sign any contract nor did we authorize any proofs to accept this project. We responded this morning with a note regarding the date and time of our email clearly declining this project again and instructing them to cease and desist -- we would file a claim with BBB before end of day today and any collection agency would be forwarded to our attorney. ***** sent a follow-up email stating no email to *** on October 5th and that would not matter as this went to print on 9/30/24, and "as for threats, go ahead with whatever you do....and will move forward to sending your invoice to an outside collections agency if I do not get payment". Ours was not a threat but that certainly sounds like one in return.Business Response

After reviewing the messages between you and our company, I can understand your concern and effort to do your due diligence in checking on the legitimacy of the t-shirt project. We have been providing t-shirts to *********************** since 2011. I reviewed recent communication with the school contact and see emails from the school approving the design on the front of the t-shirt - which by the way, has a custom design by the students at ***********************. Additionally, just last week we received an email from the school contact thanking us for the shirts and that the students are very excited about a new color of shirts we offered because of the great amount of support by your community for the project. Unfortunately, your request to cancel your ad on 10/5/24 in this project was after the t-shirt production deadline of 9/30/24. In response to your complaint that you did not sign a contract, our process for securing agreements is a two-step process - we ask for authorization over the phone and then have a *************** a manager- verify the purchase details over the phone. We consider this a completed contract. The artwork is also sent with very clear language indicating that you must respond with changes by the deadline or we will move forward with it so as not to delay the product to the school. There were two emails sent to you one on 8/1/24 with a proof of your artwork and a second on 8/8/24 with an updated proof. Regardless of all this, I will correct your account to zero balance and add you to our Do Not Call list in the future. Best wishes in your future endeavors.Customer Answer

11/08/23 and 12/05/23 this company said that this was an advertisement that would benefit my local school. The bill is $549 total. ****, I apologize for any miscommunication during this process. We spoke to the school contact, *******************************, at ******************************, and she was unaware of your concern. She isn't sure where the misinformation came from.Since we work with groups within the school, and contract directly with athletic directors, coaches or club advisors, this does happen sometimes where the front office is unaware of our partnership. AAP contacted me over the phone offering a fundraiser for a high school and printing my business on a shirt. I agreed and they informed me I dont have to pay for 30 days. I gave them the correct information on my print ad . They sent multiple invoices and I had decided to not follow through with going ahead to process everything. They never called and confirmed with an Initial payment to start the printing and went ahead and printed with my home address on a high school football shirt . I never approved my address to be printed. They inform that its my fault I didnt contact and cancel even without a payment they printed shirts. They had 2 other businesses on the shirt and they could have easily contacted me to confirm. Not they are billing me for incorrect information on the 100 shirts the school will be selling. They should confirm with clients with a payment before printing incorrect information .Business Response
