I was approached in my driveway by a guy saying something along the lines of I see you have an old roof would you like to have it replaced? You won't have to pay anything out of pocket, your insurance will cover it. I asked how does that work? The guy then told me we will do an inspection, we will find damage and then submit a claim to the insurance company for repairs, we will then inform the insurance company that the shingles are no longer made and and the whole roof will need to be replaced. This screams of a scam to me, especially when the guy said " we will find damage". Approximately 2 months prior I had 4 different reputable roofing contractors look at my roof for replacement, and NONE of them talked about having the insurance company pay for it. NONE of them found damage that warranted immediate replacement of the roof, and several said that the life of the roof is 3-5 years yet. If having the insurance company pay for replacement was ethical, reputable, and not a scam wouldn't all the roofing contractors do it this way? To be clear Bartlett Roofing has not done any work to my home. I have also signed a contract with a reputable company to replace my roof, with one of the contractors that said it should last another 3 years, because I prefer to replace the roof before I have problems. I wish I could leave 0 starsBartlett Homes and Roofing, LLC Response

Thank you for the feedback, *****. To be clear, it is our focus to help customers get their roof replaced at the lowest cost we can achieve for them. Many roofing companies don't offer the insurance route because they make more money on cash deals and they don't have to deal with the insurance companies. We can guarantee this is not a scam as we have helped over ***** homeowners throughout the valley get their roofs replaced over the last 10 years. We are a highly-reputable roofing company that is GAF Certified and an ***** Corning Platinum Preferred Partner as well as having all required licensing and insurance. We have made the *** ****************************************** ******* the last three years in a row and have been nominated as one of the best roofers in ***** by Idaho's Best. We apologize if you feel as though the experience with our sales representative was a negative one, but can assure you that their only intent was to help you. Thank you again for your feedback!Review from Talon B

Bartlett Roofing is a great company to work for! The owner **** entrenches Service, Integrity, and a Strong work ethic into his Leaders. Ive been with the company for 5 years, and can only say, You Do Eat What You Kill! Meaning complete, start to finish! If you dont perform by helping others with their roofing needs on a daily basis, then you probably wont last. Ive seen a lot of people come, and go, and the ones who stay are the ones who have the heart of a servant, and are not afraid of working at least 40 hours a week, and doing the monotonous work of canvassing, inspecting, working with Insurance, overseeing the job, collections, and making sure you are communicating everything so your homeowner stays informed and happy.I am a husband and father of three boys, and when my middle child was sent to childrens primary for some birth issues, the company, let me work, remote, and the owner and leadership constantly checked in with **** have seen time and time again Bartlett literally give everything to a job. I remember the very first install I had, the roof was about 75% done and I was brand new so my boss **** was with me. I was looking down at the shingles and I noticed that the nails seem to be not showing but kind of sunken in. I asked **** what that meant, and he easily pulled a shingle off that had already been nailed. Then he grabbed our QC and they started going over the roof and found that over 75% of the shingles that had already been installed were overdriven. We ended up having to replace that entire roof and we paid for that out of our own pocket. That experience alone gave me a sense of pride working for this company. They do roofing right. Even at their own expense. That is why I am still with them today, and why I have opened up the ******* office with some of the very best in Bartlett! I hope to make it to our fourth year in a row being on the **** **** top growing companies! It truly does take love, that is the first ingredient.Review from Bryan H

It's astonishing Bartlett remains in business! Unethical, unreliable, VERY POOR quality work, untrustworthy. Business model seems like outright insurance fraud! I had to sign an agreement that whatever the insurance company pays, Bartlett will bill the insurance company for the full amount. They refused to provide any quote to be held to. Many other quotes all ranged in the mid-twenties. ***************** ultimately paid over $35,000. Bartlett took every *****, including the over $6,000 for the solar removal/replacement, then did not even pay all of that to the solar company. They just kept it!I have over a hundred photos documenting the progress and numerous quality issues. If only I could share them here!EXAMPLES: Installed two different colors of drip ************* metal. Result: Me having to force them to pull off large chunks of completed work. Covered up a nasty squishy plyboard on my roof. Result - Uncovered and replaced it. Ignored work agreement. e.g. installing ice/water barrier higher up. Installing valley metal on the rear of the house. Damaged my new fence. Pulled camera footage to prove it. Damaged roof including soffits, solar boots/cables/pipes. Took MONTHS to get fixed. I spent hours cleaning up HUNDREDS of nails after they left. Kids and nails do not mix. AFTER completion, EVERY TIME someone came over to the house, they would laugh and say, "I have no idea how this roof ever passed quality control checks". ********** guy got up there and sent me a photo saying, "you know you are missing an eight foot strip of cap up here, right?" or months later a guy was looking at it as spent an entire day fixing many issues like flashing. Promised me, in writing, multiple things due to all the issues experience and then chose not keep those promises later. Installed low ridge caps when high profile were originally there. Claimed to have fired installers.WORST contractor experience of my life! BEWARE! Shady storm chasing company.Review from Nicolle F

Bartlett Roofing mechanically damaged our roof doing an inspection to see about replacing it. They dmagaed 68 tiles. Our insurance company sent two adjusters, and a third party engineer to do a full report. Our roof is no longer covered by insurance for repairs because of this, and we cannot file a claim against their insurance because THEY DON'T HAVE ANY. I filed a report with the ***** **** of ********* (because this is fraud and illegal). Investigation is under way, but in the meantime, they screwed us over and won't repair it.Review from Paul J

These folks are unbelievably rude, vulgar, and belittling. ***************************** came to our neighborhood on behalf of Bartlett Roofing, soliciting roofing jobs. He left his number with my wife. After she texted some questions, he responded by cussing her out and calling her stupid. Stay FAR away.Review from Carla S

We cant think of anything bad to say about ***** and his crew. Timely, courteous and listened to all the needs of my family. I have three special needs children and the entire crew took extra care and time to explain everything and respected my childrens need to constantly watch and often move freely within the work space! ***** went out of his way to help ** re-establish our cable and internet after work was completed. Ten out of ten! I would highly recommend Bartlett Roofing, **************** and his team to anyone interested in repairing or building investment potential in their property!!Review from Karl K

My brother went for a Sales job interview at this company and I was incredibly disappointed to hear how they treated him. He is a retired veteran firefighter who worked in the Air Force. He just relocated to ***** and is looking for a job. The phone interview went very well and he was excited for the in-person interview. He arrived on-time and in appropriate attire with a physical copy of his resume for the interview. He was being interviewed by 3 men. The first asked "Tell me about yourself" Great. He asked if they read his resume. They hadn't. He asked if they would like a to see physical copy of his resume. They said they weren't interested. This was the first red flag.About 5 minutes into answering the question, one of the men interrupted him and said "Wow, this is boring. Sorry, I have ADHD, and this is just really boring to me". I was shocked when I heard this. How incredibly rude, especially after they literally asked him to tell them about himself. I'm not sure what kind of company would put a person like this in a leadership position. They continued on to make condescending remarks to him about moving here from **********. When he said that he liked to golf, the same one who said he was bored said "I shoot guns, which is a real sport". They also asked him if he owned a gun... How is that an appropriate question for someone who is interviewing for a Sales position? The way these men represented this company and handled the interview with my brother was incredibly disrespectful and rude. I genuinely felt disgusted hearing about it afterward. I do not feel like this is a professional or respectable company. When I hire someone to work on my home, I want people who I can rely and trust on to be around my family/kids/pets; I want people who won't make me feel uncomfortable in my own home. These men represented this company in such a poor manner, I wouldn't trust any of their employees and I wouldn't recommend them for hire.
