On August, 4th 2023, I purchased a **** ****** Civic from Guardian Auto sales. Two days after purchase, I had the oil changed at wal-mart and was informed that there was a massive oil leak. I immediately called Guardian to let them know of the problem and ask for compensation, repair, or a buy back of the vehicle. The owner laughed at me and told me that it he was trying to make a living and it is a risk of buying used cars. He said he paid money for the car too. When I told him that he did not pay $3286 for the car and he said I was right, but again said he was in business to make money. I arranged to have the car repaired by a certified mechanic. When the mechanic began taking the car apart to reach the location he believed the oil leak was originating from, a piece of the motor fell off. He said it was unfixable and that the motor would need to be replaced. I want Guardian auto sales to refund the money in full and reimburse me for the cost of the oil change and mechanic fees, or replace the engine so that I have a running vehicle.Business response

The customer prior to purchasing had taken the vehicle on an extended test drive and had looked over the vehicle, as well as service history. The vehicle under our ownership was in running and driving condition. It was a one family owned vehicle, with complete service history, and we never took notice of an oil leak on our lot. The car has well over ******* miles and was priced under $3,000 dollars. All of our vehicles are sold as-is with no warranty. She did sign the buyers guide with as-is marked, which a copy has been provided. We feel sorry for her bad luck, but again, the vehicle was in good running and driving condition at the time we sold it to her.
