    Pattern of Complaint:

On April 9, 2021, Better Business Bureau was alerted to a change of address business operating Postal Address Change, Change Postal Address, and United Address Change, https://www.unitedaddressform.org/.  Consumers seeking change of address services from the U.S. Postal Service  report conducting an online search for the United States Postal Service website only to be directed to the website for Postal Address Change. Consumers report the website is similar to the U.S. Postal Service website and they are unknowingly charged $79.95 for a service the U.S. Postal Service provides for $1.05.  Consumers allege the business is unresponsive to requests for assistance regarding refunds and cancellations. Postal Address Change advertises an address in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho 83814.

The Idaho Secretary of State reports Postal Address Change, Change Postal Address, and United Address Change are not licensed businesses in Idaho.

On May 7, 2021, BBB reached out to Postal Address Change regarding the consumer complaints, but to date has not received a response; mail sent to the business address was returned by the U.S. Postal Service as undeliverable.

Consumers wishing to utilize services provided by the United States Postal Service can find their website at https://www.usps.com/.

Better Business Bureau warns consumers when shopping online, verify business information by researching the address, licensing information, telephone number, and to read Terms and Conditions. Postal Address Change has a disclaimer in Terms and Conditions stating they are not affiliated with any government agency.

Complaints can be filed with Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org as well as with the Federal Trade Commission Consumer Protection at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/.

May 9, 2022 I went to change my forwarding address at https://coa.movepoupdater.co/index.jsp believing it to be a legitimate site run through USPS. They did not state any sort of cost for the service and I then noticed I was charged $99.95 on my credit card. The confirmation I received from them via email does not lead to any sort of tracking. I have reached out to their service team via their website with no response.

This company's website poses as USPS for address changes. Upon entering an address change, they asked for a credit/debit card for identification purposes. There was nothing mentioned of any charges for an address change; however, they charged me $99.95! No mention of the charge in the two emails they sent either. I found out by looking at my bank account. The emails not only didn't mention the charge; but, there was nothing mentioned of how to contact them! I had to back track and research; which led me here. I cancelled my address change and expect to be refunded $99.95. Can you please help me with that? Date address change entered: 4/28/2022 Confirmation #: ******************* URL: **************************************** ** **** server found and nothing on site suggests a $99.95 charge.

This company disguised itself as an official USPS website. It is not. I was charged $99.95 for a simple address move, when the official government website only charges 1.10. there is no indication of any kind of the charge on their website. Additionally, clicking the terms and service agreement results in an error.

I moved 2/1/21 and used this companies services, unaware of any charges, there were no charges clearly shown on the website. On 2/5/21 i was charged 79.95 and then again on 2/8/22 for 99.95. This time the charge was called "change of postal address" on my statement whereas the charges on 2/5/21 where called address mail-update. I have tried calling the phone numbers given on my account statement for both charges several times only to get a busy signal.

On Friday December 3 I recieved a notice from my county auditor that my mailing address was to be changed because of recent construction near where I live. I was told to register this change with the ****. I went on line and I thought I was at the **** website, but apparently I wasn't. I now have a charge for $99.55 pending on my checking accout and recieved an email from "Postal Address Change Services" that says my change has been confirmed and Your **** confirmation number is *******************. I do know that the **** only charges less then $2.00 for a change of address. When I filled out the forms for this there was no indication that I was not at the official **** website. I went to the **** website tonight and it would not even accept my new address as it will not even be in effect until January 1, 2022. Was I called my bank and was told they would have to accept the charge made with my debit card. Is there anyway I can get my money back?

On Friday 12/03/21 I changed my address on what I thought was the **** website. I was charged $1.10 from **** that day. Today 12/06/21 I can see a pending charge for $99.95 that I did not authorize. It is from change-my-address.com. I did not authorize this charge and from what I can tell online this isn’t the first time this has happened with this company. I want the full amount of the pending charge dropped.

I thought I was on the official United States Postal Service website changing my address. I was then charged $99.95 to change my address when the site clearly stated they just needed my credit card info for identification purposes. The USPS only charges $1.10. This is gross fraudulent activity and the site should be removed from operating.
