  I spoke with *********************** when he did concrete work on my shop that I had Steel Structures of ******* build for me. **** agreed to do my concrete driveway. We agreed on a price of $14575.00 to which I paid $7287.50 upfront on August 10, 2022. I had all the preliminary prep work done for the pour. All **** had to do was frame the pour and lay the concrete. The pour was done in 3 separate pours. This occurred on August 30th and 31st of 2022. At 10pm on September 1st **** was frantically trying to patch up a very poor job done while I was in bed. On September 2nd he came to the house and we discussed the poor quality of the job. I told him that I was not going to pay him the balance of the agreed amount because the work was not acceptable. He wanted to "patch" up a very poor job. He told me that he would be losing money if I didn't pay the balance. I agreed to pay $3000 more to which he said ok. He picked up the check from me on September 7th 2022.On September 20, 2022 his mom **** called and left a message that they had a lawyer and insurance to collect the remaining amount. A representative for me because I am deaf called **** and told me they agreed to remove and redo the job in December of 2022 to which I told them I did not want them to do in the middle of winter and advised that we wanted it redone when the weather was not so cold. They did not respond to this request.Now today February 27, 2024, over a year later **** text me threatning to put a lien on my home if I did not pay the $4000 that he claims I still owe him.
