I hired ************************* (Elevated Windows & Bath) to remove and install LP Siding and *************************** on the exterior of my home. The project was to begin as soon as they finished the replacement of windows and Sliding glass door. The contract was signed on 10/17/2023. The project did not start until January 8th 2024. I was told that they could and had done siding and installation of ***************************, but in fact *** didn't know much about either as admitted well after the project was in their eyes complete. I questioned many times about the work being done and was told "You are not a contractor and don't know what you are talking about". I reached out to the building inspector and found they didn't have a building permit. ************************* came out to look over the project I was complaining about and he made notes and took photos of buckling boards, popped nails, bent over nails, excess caulk where there shouldn't be any. He suggested I contact LP Building Solutions. I did and had their representative come out to take a look and also take photos. I also talked with their Technical team that suggested I read and watch the installation videos. I also did the same with ***************************. Installation of both products were done incorrectly and I am now stuck with a mess. *** said he would make it right, but came out twice and was here a very short time and didn't correct the problems. To correct this it all needs to be removed and done correctly by a siding company. I have contacted an attorney and have an appointment, but feel that the public and governing agencies need to be aware of the shoddy work done on my homeBusiness response

This is something we are taking very seriously and will rectify. As we have stated previously, we are not hiding nor leaving any messages or calls without answer but since we had fixed some buckling siding we had not heard from her until now. There is no need to get legal involved in this, as i stated above we will rectify this problem. We are going to need a few business days to find the best solution for fixing these issues and will respond again with a solution mid next week as it is Friday now with memorial weekend businesses are closed on monday. Again, we will respond with a new message mid next week with the solution and timeline for getting these issues solved.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: This is what he has said, but fixing a board or two will not resolve issues. As I stated before. I have contacted LP Building Solutions technical team and the siding was not installed correctly. The same with the ***************************. Versettastone.com has uploads on installation and problem solving. Again not installed to manufacturer installation instructions. I have had building inspector, LP representative out and all have agreed that I will continue to have issues unless the siding is removed and installed correctly. I want my money back so I can hire a siding professional to install correctly.I have patiently tried to work with ************************* but it is apparent that he or the crew he hired doesn't knows ****** and ***************************.installation.

We are going to issue a refund of $33,400. We have already written a check for $2,000 when we fixed the buckling in March of 2024. The contract was for $35,400 - $2,000 = $33,400.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: It has been another week and no contact from ***, I have an appointment with my attorney on 6/4/24. Unless *** is willing to refund my money so I can hire a reputable siding company I will keep that appointment and continue with legal action.

I reached out to *** early am 6/3/2024 to see if a check had actually been mailed. *** informed me it would take him 3 weeks to get the money and all communication should go through here. I am willing to wait the three weeks and would prefer a cashier check so that funds are not held once deposited.

We sent out the cashiers check to *** in the format she wanted, (ie. cashiers check) so funds were not held. We have resolved this issue and request the case be closed.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
