      The **************** of the **** Nativity in ******** recently called a full-time priest, who is living with his family in the rectory. This building has not been used as a residence for years. Fr. ***** and his family would like to use the fireplace, so we called ***** at Safer Chimney to request a comprehensive inspection of the fireplace, which she scheduled promptly. *******, the inspector, determined that the fireplace is safe to use, but he did recommend that the chimney cap be rebuilt due to missing mortar. ***** and his team went to work right away, and they completed the job on two separate days. We are delighted with the work they did, and Fr. ***** and his family are looking forward to using the fireplace this coming Fall and Winter.

      I did hire Safer Chimney to repair my chimney and put in new pipe from the stove to the chimney. They did the repair work in the dark on a November evening, and this was after several reschedules and several no-shows. Then they used the house faucet that had no handle on it, which caused a huge flood in the house. They literally used a pair of vice grips to turn the water on to make their cement. They had NOT asked to use this faucet with no handle and they had NOT told us they needed water. I asked them about their insurance and what they intended to do and I was informed that it was NOT their problem that I had broken pipes. I didn't tell them I had broken pipes, so I know that they really knew better. They also told me that it didn't mean a thing that the faucet was without a handle because "everybody out here" has faucets all over the place that don't have handles. I called my plumber to make an emergency visit and he arrived while Safer Chimney guys were still there. The plumber asked the chimney guys questions and was treated very rudely. He said he gave his honest opinion about their work and behavior and was then called several demeaning names. My plumber said he called them some names too because they weren't taking any responsibility for the flood they had caused. It took the chimney guys several months to come back out to remove their wood forms from the chimney, and they never did bring a finishing part for the indoor stovepipe that I paid for. In the beginning this chimney guy sounded knowledgeable and good. Maybe he is knowledgeable, but I highly suggest you run fast as you can away from Safer Chimney. I wish I had. I wouldn't give any stars, but this site requires it. CT

      DON'T CALL THIS BUSINESS!! A no-show twice so I canceled the repair with no re-scheduling, telling them I wanted to get a bid from someone else first. He immediately called warning me about other businesses. A week later, now he texts and says they'll be here tomorrow to do the repair. ??? When that didn't work, he said they were canceling the repair (that was never scheduled) and that they'd be here today to pick up $75 for the inspection that never took place. He threatened a lawsuit and was verbally rude calling ME the scammer. When he had come by to give me a repair quote, he said I'd receive a "custom fit" firebox shield but he never measured the firebox and when his text today gave me a supposed measurement, it was totally wrong (because he hadn't measured it). Have spent my entire day receiving his threatening texts. I actually called the police to file a complaint when he threatened to send the Sheriff to my house. I'm still receiving threatening texts as I write this.

      Unfortunately 1 rescheduled was due to rain. We we hired to fully inspect and diagnose her daughter s fireplace (The mother was never there nor had any interaction with our company. We strictly dealt with the daughter) They had us custom build and order parts for a rebuild. The day before install she said she had issues and needs to cancel. We respectfully told her the parts she ordered were custom built for her application. She then sent threatening emails and text. We decided to just charge her our inspection fee and cut our loss. After the rude back and fourth with her we decided we would just write it off. We then receive several calls asking if they can rebook the install and make payments over a year!We are not a finance company but always willing to help. But we truly felt we were being taken advantage of and almost being set up on this job. As in, to order parts, then canceling, rebook, then cancel. We decided it was best if we did not work for this certain client. We are currently out just shy of $465 on this job. We have since moved on and respectfully told the homeowner we would mo longer be doing work for this client. On a side note , the chimney and fireplace are in very serious code violations and extremely unsafe to use. We did update the daughter who lives there just to make sure she was safe. Thanks

      **** should be locked up and in a straight jacket. DO NOT let him into your home. After his threats, and this "daughter" is 65 y.o., the police said to call if he ever comes onto my property again. I live in a **** historic Boise home. We hardly need this pathological liar's "financial charity". Again, **** is mentally sick. Don't let him near you house. Just read the other reviews. Anyone with a brain will be able to see who's the unreliable psychotic liar. Trying to, out of the blue, threaten an old woman out of money I don't owe him and his no-show business model makes me wonder if there's a drug issue going on with him. Do not let this nut job anywhere near your home.

      Our gas fireplace would take several flips of the switch to start and then would go out again after a few minutes. I called Safer Chimney after attempting another company we used in the past (no call back in a day and a half : (***** from Safety answered my text and told me what the problem was and how to fix it DYI. His advice worked! No charge and we are not previous customers. Not only that, he called awhile later to see if it worked.Amazing customer service! Will definitely use them for service/repairs again.

      At first they seemed reliable. Very expensive. Don't always show up when they are supposed to. Still waiting for them to seal a crack in the chimney that they fixed last spring. It's been 2 months now.

      Ww first received a email regarding a small, hairline crack. We immediately called back and offered to come the next day. The homeowner said whenever was fine. We then were hit with a bonding agent shortage- We did notify the homeowner and they stated whenever was fine. We since have filled the small crack. Our quality of work has very high standards. We have not raised prices in over 13 years. In this industry you get what you pay for. We do over 42% of our work that is repairing others, fixing poor quality work from previous contractors, fixing issues with unlicensed contractors. We offer high quality work at a fair value.

      Unfortunately rain/wind has a major effect on our crews. We try not to reschedule as we know how it effects peoples day. We are currently backed up until Mid March, so any little glitch throws things off. Our secretaries reached out each and every time to try too accommodate you. Thats all we can do. I understand you're upset, but a 1 star is unfair. We cannot predict the weather and need to make sure our crews are safe. Im sure you would of been very pleased with our crews. I will get you a full comp for next year if you would like to get in early. My sincere apologies on the delays. *****
