Everyone needs to read this and pass it on!I took my kids to a Steelheads game in Dec. I bought or THOUGHT i was purchasing a hoodie and instead i was fraudulently signed up for a subscription. The old man there at the stand told me in order to buy the hoodie i had to fill out my name and address on some paper. I asked why and he said that was just part of the buying process. I realized today that the old man lied and signed me up and he used the card i used to buy the sweater for the subscription charge. He 100% lied to me. I tried calling and basically its no use. Everyone at that business could care less. He probably did it to a bunch of others so if you go to Steelheads games or know people that do go, tell them about this! Idaho Press Tribune is absolutely horrible! Theyre not accredited by BBB. They have a 1 star rating and there are SO many complaints! Its so awful. Please pass this on.

After recieving an advertising call from Idaho Press Tribune and declaring that I read my news online and do not want the small paper of today with yesterday's news I was offered a complementary Sunday paper. I NEVER subscribed. I said I did not want it but they sent it anyway and continued to do so. Then came a bill to my wife. When I called the office I was sent to the subscription department answer machine which says MY PHONE NUMBER and relating to my supposed subscription. I refuse to press that number as it would confirm a subscription I do not have. After asking for a manager I was transfered to the same number several times. Once a woman answered, asked how she could help and then tried to explain before I could finish. I told her if she would shut up I could tell her my problem. She said I will not be spoke to that way and hung up. Several follow up calls led to answer machines, no person, no conclusion of the problem and this complaint. They still follow covid guied lines of no personal entry at the office so all that is available is the phone. I will not pay a bill I did not authorize. The woman did call back and after I called their phone system stupid she said I had quite a mouth and hung up again. My advise, avoid bussiness with the press tribune.

I signed up for an online subscription at the grocery store. I paid for 3 months in advance. They were suppose to send me a confirmation email with the details. They never did and I couldn't even remember what paper it was I signed up for. 3 months later they charged my account. So now I knew what paper it was. I emailed them and got no reply. I then called almost 1 month later (over xmas) and all they would do is give me 2 weeks free. All I wanted was the time I paid for but couldn't access.. that was 4 months worth. It was their mistake yet I have to pay for it. Worst customer service ever!!

********,We at the Idaho Press are very sorry to hear about this situation. You might double check your SPAM folder for an email with instructions to log into your account. Occasionally, messages like this can end up there. We would be happy to make this right for you. Just call us at ************ and explain the situation. We can then pull up your account and see the payment history. It is a bit odd that you'd subscribe to a paper, but not know which one and then wait months to ask for a refund. We can work through that when you call us so we can make it right. Idaho Press

Idaho Press wrote me back. We at the Idaho Press are very sorry to hear about this situation. You might double check your SPAM folder for an email with instructions to log into your account. I was approached at the grocery store and was like sure. I was busy and didnt write anything down. I was told Id receive confirmation. No it wasnt in my spam folder. I couldnt contact you for months because I had no idea what paper it was. I work full time and an additional part time job besides life in the country. I didnt ****** and call all the newspapers in ***** to see if that was the one. But as soon as I did find out (automatic withdrawal from my account) I did contact you..twice. I did call. I did give my name and you all looked it up. I was told the only thing you could do for me was give me two weeks free. I didnt even want a refund, I wanted the time I already paid for to read the paper. I asked if I could speak to a manager that I understood that wasnt your policy. I was told I was talking to a manager, thus I just cancelled. I didnt get a thanks, sorry..nothing. He obviously could care less about customers. Maybe this is an isolated incident, though it doesnt seem to be. I do not want to call again and get treated like c*** again to be told the same c*** If you want to make it right reinstate the electronic paper for the 4 months I paid for without additional billing until after that 4 month period. if you need more info email me ********************
