On 3/24/2023 company gave use pricing for roofing of 7k with the difference to be collected by insurance depreciation at end of job, ********** in our living room, stated to complete job it would be an out of pocket cost to me of 7k **** This did not include any rotten wood they may find once shingles get removed but the contract did cover 3 sheets of plywood. Roof needed all 42 sheets replaced in which my insurance company paid for. On 4/22/23 the roof was completed and as agreed upon North Idaho exterior was needing to file a completion of job to my insurance to collect the difference. On 4/26/2023 ***** from the company called me to threaten me about not receiving funds and that he was placing lean on my home. Same day he returned the call with an apology stating he was unaware that *** was working with the insurance company and he misspoke. On 5/15/2023 I received the insurance check and contacted the company so I could pay them, which I did. However today on 5/19/2023 I received a call again from ***** stating and demanding payment of ***** for balance, when asked to send an itemized statement for why I owe any more he again threatened to place lean on my home and cursed at me heavily and inappropriately. I asked for this itemized bill so I understand what I owe and why since it was an insurance policy claim and I just paid him what they sent me. He once again stated I will place lean on your home tomorrow! At that point i terminated the conversation.Business response

We have responded to this complaint 2 separate times. Please call us to discuss.
**********. The system is not allowing the response to go through.This complaint is completely unfounded. All contracts and agreements are documented. The customer did not pay final balance and began to dictate terms they would pay over the course of a year.

I am rejecting this response because: buisness agreed to a certain price than it changed. When we requested contract and invoice with details ***** did nothing but scream, curse and threaten me. If ***** is willing to discuss payments and send contract and invoice Im happy to sit with him on this matter. Its ********************* temper and Lack of buisness professionalism that Im complaining about, no one wants to be cursed at for asking simple billing questions.

Dear BBB,
*************** to the customer complaint filed.
Our sales person *** explained there would be a maximum of 7k out of pocket (the rest was covered by an insurance claim). This $7,000 increase is due to the option the Baileys chose to upgrade to a metal panel roof. Upon removal of the previous roof, excessive mold was found resulting in the need to replace the plywood and a price increase. This price increase was covered by the insurance company covering the ******** claim. Our company North Idaho Exteriors did not raise our contract price.The work was completed in a timely manner and as stated by the customer it was done to their satisfaction.
All work was completed per the original contract. All parties agreed to said contract. The matter has since been resolved and a payment plan is in place.
We stand by our high standards, workmanship and reputation.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes indeed it was agreed on 7k, but as we have it on tape the7k was for the upgrade Red metal roof, otherwise we wouldnt be having this dispute and we would have done red shingles instead. However again my discontentment is over ***** being a hot head, yelling, cursing and threatening us while we were so shocked by the price misunderstanding and asking for time to pay it. I notice he is not at all addressing this matter, we have since placed a CC payment Of $3200 towards the 5k difference, posed a payment plan, moving forward. We have had some rain this past week and also had a major leak in the kitchen, we are too afraid of ***** and his temper to address matter, its sad it came to this. We will pay the 5k difference and my wife will go without her HIV meds for a few months, however we clearly know what was stated in our living room and what the 7k was suppose to go toward. We were shocked and broadsided by ****** inability to listen, and his major temper we werent able to come to a payment plan prior to use taking it to this level. Its sad because we are now in a major crisis over something that clearly could have been simply avoided.Sincerely,
