Met *************************************, ***************** delivery service. ********************** was a 3rd party contractor installing my new dishwasher. This is when he told me that he was a contractor and had lots of ideas for my kitchen, as I had told him I was wanting to refurbish it. Entered into a contract with the named contractor to refurbish my kitchen. It was agreed that I would provide the materials. The contractor talked about the multiple things that he would do with the kitchen including painting the cupboards, fixing a broken draw, creating a new shelf/cupboard above new refrigerator. I did not fully read the contract (my fault) as he appeared to be up front and honest. He took out the cupboards above where the new refrigerator was to go, causing a massive water leak down in the family room which at that time he said he could fix but would charge me an additional $2000.00 **************. After the downstairs ceiling was repaired and paid for, he started on the cupboards in the kitchen. After about 2 weeks, he informs me that the paint that was purchased was bad and he would have to sand down the face of the cupboards again in order to properly paint them again. He charged me an additional $1200.00, as he had taken the cupboard fronts to his property to hang them and paint. I have no documentation from the company stating the paint was bad. He then brings back the cupboards paints the part that is hanging on the wall, DOES NOT do anything above the new refrigerator, leaving the blank wall. He hung 4 cupboards upside down! I had to have him change that. He work is not up to standard as stated in his contract, He did not deliver what he said he was going to do, but demanded final payment.I would be willing to settle for $5000.00
