RainGuard roofing was contracted by a realtor to repair the roof of a house I was purchasing. RainGuard roofing sent employees to repair the roof after being incommunicado for several months. RainGaurd roofing's employees damaged the siding and stucco of the house. The company failed to repair the damage.Business response

Tell us To Whom It May Concern,
We have been working with Mr. ***** since January of 2021. We originally completed the repair on his home in January of 2021 to address issues he was having with his flashing and a dead valley. The invoice for the repair is attached for reference as well as an email detailing some of the issues the homeowner had and how we resolved them sent back in October. In his complaint he detailed that we had damaged the siding and the stucco of the home. In the pictures detailed, you can see the pre-existing damage as well as copious amounts of sealant that was used in a repair done prior to our company on site. We've made sure to attach the invoice showing payment was made to have a subcontractor come out and fix the siding that we damaged during the sealant removal, as well as an additional panel and some additional gutter work at our expense. In October of 2021, after several months of trying to make contact with the homeowner we still had not received payment. Unfortunately, we were forced to take more drastic action and turn the unpaid invoice over to our lawyer for collections. It is my concern, that Mr. ***** is retaliating by leaving us a poor review.

I am rejecting this response because: Rainguard (the Company) claims to have replaced a damaged panel, no panel was replaced. The company claims to have repaired the damage they caused, the resulting work looks and performs worse than they started. The company has failed to operate within a covenant of good faith and fair dealing, they have breached implied warranties, and failed to perform within the recognized standards of the industry. TWO contractors have visited my residence and were "embarrassed" by the work performed. Because of Rainguard's inability to meet its obligations, I've hired another contractor to repair their faulty workmanship.The response provided by the company contains mistruths that are indicative of the necessity for this complaint. The assistance of the BBB is appreciated.
