I'm not really sure how they receive such a high review. I placed my mother in their memory care facility and she passed away 4 months later. I would never recommend them for memory care. Please don't let the bells and whistles fool you. Communication is ABSOLUTELY the worst. My mother spent the last four months of her life in total separation anxiety and all the doctors at Clarendale wanted to do was to push anti psychotic drugs in her. Did a surprise visit one morning and discovered her bedsheets we're soaked with urine and the bed was made anyway. Another time her and her roommate's toilet was solid full of toilet paper and f**** Which was impossible for my mother or her roommate to do because both were confined to wheelchairs. My mother had severe anxiety due to late stage dementia and when she became agitated and fearful their answer was to place her in an activity room by herself, which only added to her distress. My sister and I sat with our DECEASED mother, in her room, for 4 hours waiting for the funeral home to pick her up. Not once were we asked by ANY staff on duty if we would like to wait somewhere else instead of in our mother's room. If I can spare ONE family the sadness, frustration, and lack of empathy that we received this review will be worth it. My sister and I will never forgive ourselves for placing our mom on this place.
