The original quote for a 6 foot chain link with privacy slot fence was $12,850.00. I have a copy of this quote. After construction was started they wanted to charge me an additional $1,450.00 to install slats. If you take the amount that they quoted me for a chain link without the privacy slats fence it would be $9,954.00 and subtract from the $12,850.00 you come up with $2,800 which is exactly half of the $1,450.00 they want to charge me for the one side. I would like for them to put up the two sides for the original quote of $12,850.00 with the 2 gates in the front which they originally quoted to me.Business response

We went to the property of ****************** on 12/21/2023 for an initial onsite to discuss property lines and to see where he would like his fence to be installed. We discussed privacy inserts to be installed between his property and his neighbor's located on the west side of his house which is a 117-foot line. We then sent the two quotes in question to ****************** and he verbally accepted the quote for 6' chain link fence with privacy inserts for $12,850.00 which included only 117-feet of privacy inserts. We then ordered and paid for the materials on 3/15/2024 and had the ground marked for underground lines. ****************** then obtained a work permit on 4/24/2024 and we began work on 4/25/2024. After we began work ****************** asked if the quote included privacy inserts for the entire fence and we explained to him that the privacy inserts were only for the 117-foot line between his property and his west side neighbor's as we had originally discussed. He then asked how much more the price would be to add inserts throughout the rest of the fence we were to install. We then sent to him that it would be a $1,450.00 additional cost to install privacy inserts on the remaining 137-feet of fence. ****************** then sent us the same statement he has submitted to you. We then explained to ****************** that the install price we were giving him for the additional privacy inserts was only for material cost and no additional labor cost so as not to lose a valued customer. We are willing to complete the install with the materials we originally quoted ****************** at $12,850.00 which includes only 117-feet of privacy inserts but we cannot afford to install the additional 137-feet of privacy inserts without charging the additional material cost aforementioned.
