Signed a contract with Liberty Fence representative *************************** ON 2/23/24. $8500 was to be paid upfront for materials then $8500 when the job was complete. The old deck was to be removed and a new deck installed. The pool deck was to be repaired and pavers were to be leveled by pool area. A check was written to ******************* in the amount of $8,500 for materials for a new deck. Our deck was completely ripped out and materials were not delivered. I was then told that part of the siding was bad and would first need replaced with flashing added before the deck could be replaced. I was told to write a check to ***** ************************* in the amount of $1642 for the additional labor and supplies. i wrote the additional check and it was cashed. However, the work was not done. The work was not done and I still do not have a deck and/or pool repairs. On 4/8/24 *************************** informed me that *************************** was in jail; however, he would finish the job. He gave me *********************** number to get my $8500 back. When i called **** he informed me he spent the money on fencing for another person and would not be buying my supplies with my money or giving me the money back. He stated he already spent it. He did offer to allow me to join a lawsuit with him against *****. I stated i did not pay ***** that **** cashed my check. He stated again he would not give me the money, he spent it. *************************** then packed up and left trash all over my property and us without a deck and wood exposed where they ripped out the old deck. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. These contractors committed fraud and ruined the back of my house.
