I am a Board of Trustees member for the **************************************** located in ***********, ** and am writing on behalf of that body. In September, 2022, our church paid $15,200 to National Sealcoating and Paving to sealcoat and then mark the parking spaces on our church parking lot. Their Description of Work and Invoice states "All work guaranteed for five years." By spring 2024 all the sealing had worn off, so on June 24, 2024 our church Treasurer sent them an email with their paperwork showing the invoice, including the guarantee, copies of the two checks that paid for the work, and pictures of our parking lot as it now looks, with the sealing worn off. They did not respond to the request for them to fulfill their warranty by redoing the sealing. As our Treasurer was in the hospital earlier this month I was charged with following up. I followed up with another email on August 7. They have not responded in the subsequent two weeks, so our Board of Trustees asked me to file a complaint with the BBB. We either want our parking lot to be resealed and then the parking spots remarked, or have 60% of the amount paid refunded to our church, since the work did not last even 40% of the length of the guarantee.

Monday, January, 8th, 2024, a man knocked at my door asking if he could repair my damaged concrete step. I was inquiring about how much money, and I was told they usually charge $182 a gallon but they would do it for $82 a gallon, to get rid of the product in their truck. I still inquired, I have no idea how many gallons that would take to fix 2 steps, but I figured less than $500. The window rolled down on their tinted window pickup truck, and I the young mans cousin/boss said he would do a good job and give me a deal. I still inquired more and more about the cost, and they never gave me one. They began applying a watered down concrete, very sloppily, over my steps and sidewalk. 100 year old house, so a few cracks and dips were present. I kept coming, in a matter of 10 we went from 4 gallons, to 37 gallons to 42 gallons. $4500 they wanted, and I didnt have that. *****, the head honcho, wanted to follow me to the bank, which then my wife came out irate over their trick. Worst of all, EVERY crack is still visible, it looks like white grey paint over the surface of the old concrete. They muscled my last $2500 out of us, and have repeatedly promised to come back. They used my own buckets and hose, and left their brushes behind. Both men showed me their licenses and tried to assure they are a real business but have done no work. Literally, no exaggeration, every crack and dip is still visible with a thin layer of lightly colored paint/concrete on top. Heartbreaking. They stole my families money, and didnt fix a single thing. Supposedly they issued a lifetime warranty that I never received. Today, March 19th, 2024, ****** reason is too cold, dont want to do it. I have my handwritten receipt and a business card. He claimed to have a boss but upon further reading, I see others have been deceived and he IS his boss. This is a criminal act and false promise of work completed.
