Hello,I am filing a complaint on a business that is trying to have me pay 30% fee cancellation so I can receive my refund. I explained I don't have funds for the 30%. I never signed any contracts or agreements about this. All done online through cashapp + hashminet.com. I started becoming interested in investments with a broker by the name Olivia ***** Lucas CRD: #******* who is employed at State ******************** or i believe it's called State ************************** Firm CRD: *****. I decided to start investing with her during the beginning of April of 2023. Unfortunately I went through a car accident and now I may need the funds that i used for the investment.-04/05 was the starting date of the transaction - $2100 was sent to Olivia ***** Lucas' Firm to start a small investment. The funds were sent from cashapp and transferred to a website that goes by ********************* to keep track of the investment profit gains. -The business committed to provide me was to gain profits.-no disputes have occurred yet. -The business has not tried to resolve the problem after I have explained a few times that I just had an accident and that I really need the refund to use for my situation expense. They said I have to pay a 30% fee upfront. I asked if they be able to deduct the 30% from the amount i put in, the broker Olivia ***** Lucas answered no, I would have to pay 30% upfront for due process. I explained I dont have the 30% upfront to pay as I need funds now and if there is another way? They said no this is the only way to cancel. -no account number or tracking number has been given to me.
