December 28 2021 bought a Honda which was on the showroom floor which led me to believe it was a new vehicle. During the course of transaction found out it was a trade in. Ok with that. It was a cloudy day and showroom lights are not bright. Asked immediately for Carfax. They checked into financing before showing me the Carfax. Had a 750 credit score before I walked into showroom, told them this. Now my credit went down decause they checked too many banks. Just before transaction was complete paperwork was started. Was told it had been in a minor car accident. What could I do. I finished the transaction. Take it home drive it around a little while noticed many issues with performance, and quality. I can explain later.

      ********

We investigated the issues outlined by ***** with both our Sales and Service Departments.  Please see the internal email correspondence below for details and explanation.  The email from ******************* is to our General Manager *****************.

We pulled Bettys ************************ on 12/27/21.  Her score was 690. We have the bureau on file.  The credit bureaus understand that consumers *** want to shop around for the best rates.  Within a 14-day period of time, the inquiry will only count as one hit/pull regardless of the number of banks contacted, and will typically not negatively affect the credit score.

Since Bettys vehicle was repossessed by Honda ********* Services, we are not able to accommodate a vehicle inspection.  If she is able to get the vehicle back in her possession, we would be more than happy to inspect her vehicle and repair any/all issues that *** be present.

Please let me know if any additional information is needed.

      Sincerely,
      *********************************

      Hi Don,

***** first visited us with her aunt **** on Monday 12/27 to look at our used vehicles and picked out a 2014 ***** 6 with ****** miles on it as the vehicle of interest. We also presented the 2017 Honda True Certified Civic that ***** purchased as a fallback option since we could leverage our relationship with Honda ********* Services for a great approval. We also explained the benefits of buying a Certified vehicle vs a normal used vehicle.**** was adamant that the ***** was a good deal and that she should buy the ***** before it sells. Explained that I wanted her to take the time to make the best decision for her and she needed to head to work.

She came back on Tuesday 12/28 without **** to discuss the numbers againfelt that the Civic was a better value and more reliable vehicle due to lower miles and CPO program benefits. We reviewed all of our reconditioning, the Carfax history report, and the Honda Certification information at the time of sale as well.

Subject: RE: You have a New Message from BBB Serving ******* and Northern ******** Complaint #******** (2019 CIVIC LX *****************)

      ******,

I spoke to the client. Here is the recap of my verbal conversation with you: The client has not brought her vehicle in for us to look at her concerns. We have only performed one oil change and there were no issues mentioned/recorded at the time. The vehicle has been repossessed and currently is in storage. The client is out of a job and doesnt know when she will be able to pay the fees to take repossession of the vehicle. She thinks that taking repossession of the vehicle would mean she is accepting the vehicle with all the issues. I told her that wasnt the case, but she would need to have the vehicle to bring to us to look at. She said that we should pay the fees to get it out of storage so we can look at the issues, I told her that wasnt going to happen and the issues she has with the vehicle and the repo are two separate issues.

She asked about the issues she had with Sales when she purchased the vehicle. I asked if we let her know that the vehicle was a certified pre-owned and showed her the Carfax before she signed and purchased the vehicle. She said that we did, but she was rushed because she had someone elderly with her.

I let her know that I would have someone in Sales reach out to her about her purchasing experience, and that we would be more than happy to address her concerns with her vehicle once she regained possession of it.

Because of the termination of my contract via Honda Financial, I am asking for the money back for the premium services package that I upgraded to for them to service my vehicle for the next 5 years. Since my contract was terminated and they will no longer be servicing my vehicle, I want the remaining total of the premium upgrade for the next 5 years minus the 3 months for which I utilized the service before termination. Bundle 2 plus titanium upgrade: Service contract amount $1190 plus $700 titanium upgrade. I wouldn't in confidence want to return to this business after the ordeal I have gone through with them leading up to this point, therefore I just want the $1890 minus the 3 months utilized before contract termination made on Honda Finances behalf. Deal number ******. Customer number ******. Serial number *****************.

      Dear **************,

We investigated the details of the complaint you filed against our business with the BBB.  We were unaware that Honda ********* Services repossessed your 2018 Honda Civic (VIN *****************) on 10/28/2021.  We are happy to assist you with obtaining a refund for the unused portion of the Honda ************ Contact and the Titanium Warranty.  Please stop by our dealership at your convenience and ask to speak to a Business Manager.  We will need a signed odometer statement to provide proof of the last mileage recorded on the Civic when the vehicle was repossessed. The mileage can be found on the repossession settlement notice issued by Honda.  We will also need a signed cancellation request form. We will provide you this form.  Thank you very much.

I purchased my brand new Honda ********* from Valley Honda a few months back and today 08/16/2021 I bring my car to Valley Honda for its first time A1 maintenance Service. I drop off my car at 6:30 pm and came to pick up at 8:30 pm and was devastated with the state of my car. I found so many thin scratches from the car wash (included in the service) and I reached out to ***********************************, who was taking care of my car service today. I am really shocked that with such great service provided by Valley Honda while selling the car to me, has actually returned my car back with such horrific scratches all over my car.

Good afternoon!  OurService Director reached out to *************************** on Monday August 16, 2021 toschedule a time for vehicle inspection.  After close examination of the paint, we determined that our carwash hadunmistakably not caused the scratches on the paint.  We wash hundreds of vehicles on a monthlybasis and we have not had a problem with scratching paint.

************** dropped-off hervehicle on Tuesday August 17, 2021.  Althoughwe were not in agreement with the client about the cause of the scratches, weoffered to professionally buff the paint to eliminate the scratches, free ofcharge.  Our Service Director assured herthat we will make it look perfect.

************** picked-up hervehicle on Wednesday August 18, 2021, and we inspected the vehicle together. She was very happy with the outcome.  Oneof our detail professionals did a fantastic job of buffing out all the lightscratches. We have notated her file, with her permission, that we will NOT washher vehicle at future visits.

At this point the issue isresolved and the client is happy.

      Sincerely,
