I would like to write a complaint about my experience with an insurance company. I got into a car accident last June. The accident was 100% the other drivers fault and he totaled my vehicle. I filed a claim with my insurance company, State Farm, and they handled the claim in both a professional and timely manner. Their cooperation and helpfulness allowed me to be rightfully compensated and attain a replacement vehicle, following my losses. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Farmers Insurance. Their client was the one that caused the accident, due to negligence, but they are still trying to hold me at fault. They are dragging out this claim and trying to hold me accountable for medical treatment that followed, courtesy of the collision. The accident caused extensive damage to both my vehicle and my person, yet they seem unwilling to aid with coverage. They have contacted me irregularly, and do not respond to messages in a timely fashion. The last time they contacted me, they called just as they were about to close the office, and were subsequently out of office the next few days. Their client also failed to carry records of insurance, meaning he did not have his cards with him at the time of the accident. I feel that I have been treated unfairly and the way the incident has been handled is both unprofessional and incompetent. I am trying to move on with my life, yet these obstacles are preventing me from doing so. I would not recommend using Farmers Insurance to my peers
