Had a preexisting problem with my **** F-150 Echobooster 3.5 liter truck. Over a 2 month period when in for service the dealership Wickstrom **** and the **** Protect Premium Care *** warranty would take care of superficial problems but never go any further. Warranty expired on 08/15/2023 while truck was in being serviced and I received the truck back on 08/28/2023. On 09/26/2023 I experienced the same problem of while accelerating the engine instead would bog down. This time the engine needs to be replaced. But now the warranty has expired

We have received that information and we are looking into it.

      Business response

******************* our ************ Manager spoke to **** today yesterday 11.13.23. He said he has talked to people and if he keeps on **** that they will pay for it. We asked for assistance and it does not qualify. **** has notes when they talked to the customer and that he is seeking assistance. He keeps referring back to the ******** dealers and that **** should cover the cost.
We gave him options of how far he would like us to tear it down. It is to the point where we know it needs replacement but would need to go further to find what is causing the metal in the oil. He wanted to hold until he found out if **** would help with the repairs.
He told ******************* on 11.13.23  that he is waiting for call backs from ****************** protect and the States Attorney office.  He has not received return calls but has called multiple times. He said he will call me if he gets anywhere with them and we would do the same if we hear anything.
In our opinion The outlook of **** paying for any of the repairs seems unlikely but we will wait and see...

      Complaint: 20853731

I am rejecting this response because: I was told by people at **** and by my mechanic to reach people at **** who would listen and could actually make decisions.

They all said that the first layer does not have the authority to do so and that common sense would show that this problem was related to a defect, existing problem while

truck was still under warranty.  When I talk about ******** dealers it is because the acceleration problem started 1 1/2 years ago and was still present when taken to Wickstrom dealer

three times starting in June and ending in August. During July they replaced the turbo waste gate valve, in August they replaced the left turbo. At this time a tech is bought in by the service rep to explain why this is not related to previous damage. When the warranty expired I was pointing out that when I bought the truck in for repair that this problem was related to preexisting damage before the warranty expired. I was not given the option of further investigative work being done. I talked to the warranty area and they told me that further investigation needed to be done. I relayed that to Wickstrom ****. I asked for a rough estimate for the cost of investigation and that if related to previous damage would they advocate for me with the warranty area. After ***************** talked with the warranty area I was told that the damage would not be covered and that if I wanted to replace the engine it would cost me ~$15,000. That was when I went back to the warranty area and argued for coverage as damage was related to prior visits. I was never offered the option of further investigative work by Wickstrom ****. I will be calling them about this.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

On the evening of 3/16/22 I used the dealer's online "BUY NOW" process to initiate the purchase of a 2022 **** Mach-E GT (VIN: ***************** Stock: *****.) My confirmation (which I printed) shows "YOUR PRICE" of $72,735, which is MSRP. It also listed all the various taxes and fees for a total out the door price. It directed me to contact the dealer to pay my deposit. I contacted the dealer when they opened in the morning and spoke with ******** *****. I was told that the vehicle was in stock, but they would be marking it up $5000 above what I was quoted. As further evidence of this deceptive advertising, the website page for this vehicle shows the same price of $72,735 (I have the screenshot.) After a discussion with **************, I requested a callback from a manager. The manager (****) explained that he didn't like the way the BUY NOW feature worked and admitted it was very misleading, but he said that he was sticking to the $5000 dealer markup because the vehicle is "in high demand" and that his markup is less than that of many other dealers. He apologized profusely but offered no resolution.

We apologized to customer as our third party digital retailing tool did not update the price correctly. However, our price was correct on our dealer website. Per our guidelines and the current market conditions along with limited inventory availability one of sales manager was very transparent in the fact that there was a pricing on our third party. We have disclaimers clearly stated on both our dealer website and our third party platform. At this time, there is nothing else we can offer except what our offer is and if the customer would like to purchase the vehicle at the agreed upon value, we are happy to work with him.
