On November 10, *** (salesman) from Sterling Exteriors approached my wife and requested to provide repairs for our home. She explained that she wasn't able to talk and said she would contact the business when ready. *** pounded on the door later that day looking to follow up on their discussion, informing me that he had talked to my wife (whom he referred to as my "mother") about some siding damage. His assumption of my wife's maternal relationship to me has caused her emotional strain of which she spent the evening upset at such an assumption. I informed him that this was not a good time and we would contact them as needed. He requested that a salesman come out the next day (November 11), to which I told him "no" due to at-home work appointments and encouraged correspondence through phone/ email. He agreed and left. On November 11, *** knocked on the door which has a NO SOLICITING and (and red-painted) DO NOT DISTURB signs affixed. I asked him to leave immediately due to his interruption. This company has not only insulted my wife but has harassed our home-based medical care business when I have communicated by both verbal and visual means that we do not want to be disturbed. Not only did he disregard concise directions, but he was also the sole cause for interrupting a mental health e-visit appointment which undercut my wife's ability to provide medical care to a vulnerable patient. This is unacceptable and we are looking for assistance to make sure that this level of blatant high-pressure sales tactics is no longer considered acceptable by their management. We will seek immediate law enforcement assistance if *** or any other unrequested salesperson arrives at our door.

      Business response

I will make sure no one stops at their home again. I am sorry that they were contacted at a bad time for them. They are not a customer, and we have never done any work for them. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience that was caused to them.
