Are you worried about paying way too much for an HVAC repair? We called L&H because our furnace stopped working. It's not the first time we called L&H--we've used them before when we had issues with our furnace (our furnace is 27 years old but in excellent shape because we keep it well maintained.)We received a call back and were told that they couldn't find parts for a furnace that old and we would need to replace the entire furnace for approximately $5500. That was for a single stage ********* furnace. It would be more if we wanted to put in a two-stage furnace like the one we currently have.We called another shop for a second opinion and they came out and found some heater vents that were blocked, pushed a button to reset a circuit breaker on a blower fan (that we bought from L&H about 5 years ago!) and the problem was fixed. Total cost $80.The second repairman recommended we replace a flame sensor because it was slightly loose, but that wasn't a critical problem. He also said parts are readily available and ordered it for us to replace later. This is one of the parts ***** said was no longer available. We received a bill for about $200 from *****. I called and spoke with them about what had transpired hoping they would (obviously!) waive the bill they sent us. They said they would take $50.00 off the bill and could not explain why they wanted to sell us a $5500 furnace instead of just pushing the circuit breaker button on the blower motor they sold us about 5 years ago.Even more amazing? L&H denied trying to sell us a new furnace. I repeated back the quote they gave us along with the brand name (*********) and they STILL denied ever telling us we needed a new furnace. So, my experience with ***** was they tried to charge us $5500 while their competition charged $80 for the repair.Obviously we don't recommend them and have taken them off our preferred vendor list.Caveat Emptor!

The employee who was at your home was at fault for the misdiagnosis and parts. He no longer works for us. The quote given was a ballpark figure from our office as you asked for a ballpark, There is so much that has been misconstrued, and we apologize. It is tough finding quality employees. We have already learned from this and have improved upon by finding more experienced employees and not giving quotes over the phone.

I had a BOSCH tankless water heater installed in July of 2018. ”. I had put my address into BOSCH’s website back in 2018, and your shop came up as a certified/authorized installer. I was quoted over $3000 for everything because I believe as a tradesman myself that “you get what you pay for" and was told this by Diane, the former owner. You were responsive and obtained the unit in less than a day. I also got this unit because of the 15 year warranty. Now here I am 3 years later and I have a leak on the tube on the firebox of the unit. I contact you on the Wednesday Dec 22nd before Christmas and I receive one phone call back 8 days later. You tell me that BOSCH is the one not contacting you back. I ask for some sort of help in the meantime from a tech and you send out a tech who makes a phone call to BOSCH's customer service line while standing in my house looking at the unit then charging me $155 for doing nothing! This guy didn't even know what brazing was of anything about the unit. What kind of company sends a tech out with ZERO knowledge on the unit he is servicing, does no work then charges a fee!!! You then proceed to tell me that I would be better off calling BOSCH because the customer has better results when complaining. I come to find out that the gentleman I spoke to at BOSCH was the same one your tech spoke to. Keep in mind the tech told me that the BOSCH rep couldn't help and technically the warranty was void do to the vent line being installed incorrectly. He would be willing to send out parts but would not replace the unit. After sending him the bill of sale and what your company charged me only three years ago, telling him that your company charged me another $155 for doing nothing, and the fact that I found your services by entering my zip code into their site, the BOSCH rep felt bad and agreed to send a new unit directly to my house. The most frustrating part of all this is now after 3 more calls to your shop, and email to Diane (the previous owner and current owners mother) and the owner himself, I get NO RESPONSE AT ALL!!! You got the customers money and know you installed the product incorrectly so you just ignore now. I haven't even listed all the other problems (loss of water and water logged cabinets) but your tech plainly saw and relayed to you. All these business practices are unacceptable. I have invested more time into trying to fix this problem myself, with little to no correspondence back. I was very patient at first because of the holidays, but this has now become blatant disregard. There are also pictures below of how L&H installed the vent and a direct picture of the manufacturers instructions on installation, which clearly shows the vent was installed incorrectly.
