Got a car from the dealership and in the short time I had it there were multiple issues. I only had the vehicle for a week and a few days. I was driving the car and the vehicle stopped all of a sudden. It would go in gear but it would not drive. I called the business to let them know what&#**;s going on. It was making a clicking sound and I told them this, to which they told me to bring it back within a week, which I did and the mechanic was not there. When they did get a chance to look at the car they fond the water pump and thermostat weren&#**;t working right so I would need to pay 75 dollars, which was fine. Then I&#**;m told sometime later that the climate change needed work and needs 800 dollars. I do not want to pay that. I asked them if there was an exchange for the vehicle or a refund. They told me no and i would have to pay the 800. I do not have the 800 to fix it and already paid 2500 dollars for the vehicle itself. I have a warranty for 30 days on it, and something has. They are not honoring their warranty.

On 3/14/2024 I went to Kennedi Auto sales location in ****************, ******** I put down $2900. I was told by the man who was test rode the car with me (NOT ***)and my cousin that the only thing wrong with the car was it needed a tune up and wheel baring. So I purchased the car and went and got the tune up and the wheel baring fixed totaling $500. When I got home my kids saw the car and then locked the doors I was not told the key to the car would not open the doors so then I had to call a locksmith to let me back into the car. I then took the car to a mechanic because I was hearing a noise on the right driver wheel on 3/17/2024 and it was getting louder and louder. I got it to the mechanic and he took the wheel off to see I had no screws in my caliber. I called the car lot multiple times and didnt get a answer but while I was there purchasing the car I saw the lady avoiding calls by looking at numbers calling more than once.Within the first week of having the car I reached out to Kennedi to tell them the car was still having problems( the car had began cutting off at stop signs/when I came to a stop then cut back on, and it was also making noises and I told *** I HAD NO SCREWS IN MY CALIBER) and I needed a way to lock my doors. He told me to bring the car to him Friday 3/22/2024 but I had to take the car to them and leave it on 3/20/2024 because I was scared to keep driving the car with my kids in it. They kept it got the key made to open and lock doors but then claimed the car drove fine and I could come and get it and to call the shop they use to get the car in we then made a appointment 4/24/2024 after the warranty expires they said they could get me in and the car would be covered. Then 4/2/2024 while I was driving with my kids in the car the car lost all power in the middle of street. I kept trying to get the car to turn over/ cut back on to try to at least make it home then I parked the car. They towed it 4/4/2024 and said I need a fuel pump I bought fuel pump I spent $332 and got car back 4/9/2024 they said the car was fixed and only needed a sensor. On 4/10/2024 the car cut off again but cut right back on and since has cut off a total of 5 times since having the car back. Now I have to spend more money because the codes are saying the oil pump/ other things needs to be replaced but they told me they hooked the car up and was able to see all things wrong but Im still having problems I have tried to work with them time after time and I have spent a lot of money catching Lyfts while trying to resolve this problem. I do have receipts for everything *** had done to the car as well as bought for the car as well as I have documented each phone call/ visit with Kennedi since I've had the car in my possession. I also have documented when I tried to reach out to manager ****** and I had no luck getting in contact with her about this incident. I have screen shots of waiting on hold for her as well as when I talked to the shop. I want the company to rectify the situation as well as be held accountable for selling cars you cannot get to pass safety and emissions. And I was also told *** was my sales man he didnt show me the car or go over any paperwork with me he was doing other stuff when I was there. I remember *** asking the man is that a good car he said yes and they sold me a lemon. Took my money and sent me on my way. They are selling cars that are dangerous and they are not properly inspecting these vehicles before they take your money. I should not have to catch Lyfts when I have purchased a car. They can give my money and the money I spent on parts/oil change back or they can fix the issues and do what is right.

On February 28,2024 I purchased a car from this place putting $5000 down. They car check engine light was on and the car salesman ****** told me it was because they just put a new battery in some worry it would go out. The next day light still on. I took it to AutoZone to run test and it came back as a wiring issue, I took the car back with the auto zone paper and they would not give me my money back but said the can put it in a shop to have it fix. I spoke with Manager ****** whom was VERY RUDE she been giving me the run around and never returns my calls. I gave these peoples all my money and still have to pay a car note.

We were informed by the customer that the check engine light came on.  We agreed to have the vehicle fixed at the dealer for her.  We have done that and covered the expense for this repair.

I bought a 2013 Ford mustang convertible two weeks ago from Kennedi in Collinsville… My sales representative with *****… I traded in my 2018 equinox that was paid for in cash. For the mustang. And they promised me a working headlight on the right side. I’ve put in about $1000 of my own money since buying the car. But the headlight is still not working and they have been very rude to me. And very rude to other customers from what I’ve seen. Can you please contact me. I just want a working headlight and to be treated like a human. The headlight was supposed to be fixed and working. The battery wasn’t installed correctly and the wrong battery was in. They didn’t inform me it was wrecked. My sales person was making prison jokes about himself. They should be shut down. My car is paid off in cash. I’m 31 years old and the way I was treated was so sad. I paid $500 after my trade for the equinox. Please help me figure out what is wrong and why they do this. I took it to another mechanic and have witnesses…after I bought it. I just wanted a convertible…if you see in the reflection of the picture no working headlight, my dad would be rolling in his grave

The customer was aware if prior damage to the vehicle.  I have attached the paperwork.  If she is having issues with her headlight, we will be more than happy to take a look at it.  She needs to call and set up an appointment so we can get her in.

This is my second car that I have bought from kennedi auto sales in freeburg & they gave me a car this time where I could have died or killed someone. There where no bulbs in the front sub frame on the 2015 ford fusion that I financed from them & now they want more money to fix the problem or they told me to give them their car back & I can pay the full down payment for something else

We told the customer that we need to run the vehicle through our service department to take a look at the car.  The customer was adamant that there would be no charge to do this.  We explained that we will not charge to look at the car but there may be repair cost if we were to repair the vehicle.  This would be unknown until we look at the vehicle to determine this.  If the customer wants to set up an appointment or drop the vehicle off by tow, we would be more than happy to take a look at the car and see what we can do.

I bought a **** F150 Lariat and the check engine light came on 2 days later. I brought the truck in 2 times to get it fixed. They were unable to fix the vehicle and said i would need to pay for it out of pocket. Then they claimed they arent required to fix the vehicle even though he said it had a 30 day warranty. I am a disabled veteran I cant afford to pay $1600 for repairs. I put down $5000 already. These people are criminals.

The customer brought their vehicle in for repairs shortly after purchase.  The vehicle needed a sensor.   We did not quote the customer $1600.00 for repairs.  The vehicle was sold as is without a warranty.  We did offer to do repairs in our shop if it was something we were able to complete in for shop for the first thirty days.  The mechanic at the purchase location was not able to complete these repairs.  We are more than happy to take a look at it at one of our other locations if he would like to bring it to **** Camp Jackson rd ******* ** and call ************ to schedule an appointment.

Within 3 days the car starts overheating by 2/25/2023 the dealership had the vehicle back to work on, after waiting nearly 2 weeks the mechanic calls and says he will be replacing the thermostat, called back 4 days later said that was not the problem give them a couple days to get it to the other shop it needs a water pump and timing belt, I called every other day no answers the car hasn’t been worked on they had people quit they are trying to get to it, on 3/22/2023 after having the car for a month they call me and say the car needs a motor. I have not even put 100 miles on the car. How does it go from water pump and belt to a whole new engine. In good faith I want a refund my 3000 I put down on the vehicle. I was lied to about the condition of the vehicle. When I try to call back and find out what’s going on the don’t answer the phone or return my call.

The customer purchased the vehicle and returned it to us, and she had drove it 500 miles. We are willing to work with her. She will have to pay for at least half of the repairs due to having the car since February.

I had the vehicle for 5 days there wasn’t even 200 miles drove on the vehicle they still have the vehicle I haven’t made this first payment because they said it needed a new motor, now they say it’s a cracked radiator that’s supposed to be replaced for free. They still have the vehicle.. I really just want my money back my down payment of 2500.00. The sales man couldn’t even speak to me I have not been rude to them I’ve been understanding I’m a hard working mother. Please do the right thing.

This complaint is for the Kennedi Auto Sales location at *****************************************************************************, phone #**********, Salesman/*********************. I couldn't locate this exact location in the BBB system but I think it's affiliated with this location. The car is currently in their possession and all my paperwork is in the car so I don't have exact dates. I purchased a 2014 ***** Captiva for a total price of $8200 after Christmas, end of December 2022. I put $3000 down and I was to pay the remaining balance in monthly payments of $250. As of today, I have made 2 monthly payments. When I purchased the vehicle, I was told that the car had no issues. Approximately 45 days later (mid-Feb), the car completely stopped on me in the middle of the street. I called the car lot and they towed the car back to the lot 4 days later. They called me 3 days later and said the car needed a timing chain repair and would cost $1300. I questioned why would the car need such a huge repair when I was just told that the car had no issues. They said I should have been checking the oil every week because the car didn't have any oil in it. I never noticed an oil leak and wasn't aware at all that there was a leak. The car didn't alert to any issues at all. It simply stopped on me. I asked could they put me in a different vehicle and they refused. The car remained at the car lot and it has been there over a month. Finally I gave in and took them $700 on March 6th that was to go towards the repair balance of $1300 for the timing chain. They agreed to add $100 to the remaining car payments until the total balance of the $1300 was paid. They called me on March 14th and said the timing chain can not be repaired and that the car needed a whole new engine. I requested a refund of my money or an exchange into a working vehicle and as of today, they are not willing to work with me so I am stuck owing the balance of the car and I don't have a working vehicle.

I purchased a 2011 Chevy ****** a month ago, I was on the highway and there was no power going to the engine and there for I could not accelerate and then it started accelerating on its own and that was very dangerous. I made it to the car lot to see about getting it fixed and also getting a loaner car while my car is getting fixed. I was informed that will not be able to get my car fixed due to them being backed up for a month with cars to fix and I will not be able to get a loaner. I would like another car in the same price range I paid for this one.

Customer came in complaining the car was shaking and needed her car looked at, and she was informed that she needed to make a appointment.  She stated she needed another car.  We informed her we needed to look at her car.  Customer stated that it was her daughters birthday.  We offered to make a appointment for the customer and we offered to help the customer.  Customer refused appointment twice.
