The front desk checked us in to Room 6 on 7/82022 in the late afternoon/ early evening 6:30pm. The toilet water was turned off so I turned it on. We used the toilet once or 2x. We went out to dinner and when we returned around 9:30pm, we noticed leaking around the toilet. Used a towel to dry the floor. It wasnt that significant. Around 10:15 a hotel maintenance person knocked on the door and asked if we had trouble with leaking. We didnt request his assistance. He just showed up. My daughter who has autism was already in bed. I let him in and then he left. I thought the issue was resolved; however, 20 minutes later the clerk came by and said we had to leave because of my daughters service dog. I refused. They offered a room upstairs. I declined and said we would be okay despite the water issues. Around 11:30 pm another man opened the door and I had the chain lock on so he couldnt get into the room. He demanded that we had to leave because the water would damage the entire hotel. At 11:30 pm they put us into a room two doors down that had been just cleaned because the maid was also there. While they apologized, they offered no monetary compensation for our awful treatment. It was very upsetting to my daughter and to my niece who was traveling with me. We left early in the morning after leaving the key in their designated drop box. I believe the clerk put us in the wrong room - and then made it out problem to fix their error. Terrible and traumatic experience for us all. We did not feel safe.
