J+J Advanced Exterior ******. and I signed a repair agreement to remove and replace roofing. I saw a crew working on a roof in my neighborhood and they had a sign out in the yard while working so I gave them a call and received a free estimate. The total for the work on the agreement is $4900.00. The company accepted $1000.00 to sign the agreement and agreed to start and complete the work after $3500.00 had been received with the balance due upon the completion of the work. The company has been paid $4000.00 to date and the work has not been started. Payment were made to company as follows - $1000.00 on 7.15.22, $1000.00 was paid on 8.19.22, $1000.00 was paid on 9.10.22 and $1000.00 was paid on 10.8.22. The project manager has given several dates the work would be done since the last payment was made early October but has not shown up on any of the dates given. There have been 5 to 6 dates given since the last payment but after not showing he continues to say he is having problems with his crew. It has been 4 to 6 weeks since the company received a total of $4000.00 for the work totaling $4900.00 and has not started the work and is no longer answering my calls or responding to my messages of concern. The last response from the company was 11.22.22 stating that the crew would be out to complete the work 11.25.22, latest 11.26.22. There has been a loss of communication since 11.22.22, no work has been done. The same response to calls has been going on since the last payment was made. I'm given a date or 2 the work would be done in the same week and no one shows up to do the work. It is also on the agreement that for any unforeseen reason the work could not be done, I would receive *********** back. I would like assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Although the business stopped complete communication afer receiving payments and cashed payments made per ******* Bank, for over 8 months after signing the contract, I am satified and grateful that I was finally contacted by the business owner and the work was completed. I was promised another job at no cost because of the lost communication and work not being started or completed for such a long 8 month otr so period, as an apology and good business act, but the business owner never came back to complete the work promised in good faith. I had no expectations altough the owner verbally made the promise. I'm ready to call it resolved with no more expectations. I would not recommend anyone trusting the business going forward.
